Search and make a new booking

Travelmyth is a hotel search engine, a price comparison engine and a hotel booking platform where you can search more than 1,110,403 hotels in 47 categories, worldwide.

In the search field you can choose or type any of the following: 1) categories like "dog friendly", "luxury", "beachfront" to perform a search based on your interests and preferences, 2) the name of a destination or region if you already know where you want to travel, 3) a hotel's name to search for a specific hotel.

By choosing one or more categories or/and a region, you are directed to the results page.

In this page you can find all the hotels that match the criteria that you entered and you can filter the results by choosing even more criteria from the left menu, or sort them using the "Sort by" field based on price, popularity etc.

After that, you can choose the desired dates and/or change the number of guests to see prices at each hotel. (The predefined number is 2 adults, in 1 room).

After you insert the dates, the prices for each hotel appear, from various booking sites. (If a hotel does not appear on the list after inserting the dates, this means there is no availability at this hotel for the selected dates.)

After choosing a hotel, you'll either proceed to the button "View deal" and you'll be directed to the booking site's webpage (e.x. Booking dot com, Hotels dot com etc.), or you'll choose "Book now" to complete your booking on Travelmyth.

In this case, a new page appears, the booking page of the hotel, where all the available room types as well as the boarding options are displayed (breakfast, half-board) if they are provided. In this page you can also view the cancellation policy applicable for each room type.

By choosing the room that interests you, you move on with the "Book" button and on step 2, you enter the info for your booking, and by inserting the card details on the Payment window, you complete your booking.

Immediately, you receive at your email a payment confirmation and in short time you receive the final confirmation, including the voucher for the hotel and your payment receipt.

Pay for your booking

Travelmyth charges your card and does not include any currency converting costs that are charged by your bank based on the currency exchange rate applicable the day of your booking. To avoid any misunderstandings, Travelmyth will not refund any such expenses to your card.

The majority of the credit card institutions charge an international transaction fee. This varies and may be up to 3%. This is implied because the charge of the credit card is done in another country than the country in which the card was issued. The company is not responsible for any such charges.

The tax charge on Travelmyth's hotel transactions is a recovery of all applicable transaction taxes (including but not limited to sales and use, occupancy, room tax and excise tax) that Travelmyth pays its suppliers in connection with your travel arrangements. Taxability and the appropriate tax rate can vary greatly by location. Travelmyth's actual tax cost paid to the supplier may vary from the tax recovery charge, depending upon the rates, taxability in effect at the time of the actual use of the hotel by a customer and Travelmyth is under no obligation to account to you or refund you in this regard.

In some countries, there is a local tax known as "visitors' tax", "city tax", "tourist tax" (or similar) and other fees including but not limited to resort fees or service charges,which are not included in the price paid to us and shall be paid directly by the end consumer at the establishment.

Yes, you can choose your desired room, complete all the information for your booking and by pressing the button "Pay", when you are at the bank payment window, you should press cancel. Afterwards, you should contact our customer support telephone the soonest possible, so we can complete your booking, because the availability can change at any time. In this case, the room you chose should not have a non refundable policy. Also in bookings paid with bank deposit, there is an extra charge of 10 euro as service fee for processing the booking.

Yes, you can call us to make your booking with one of our agents. Following, our agent will provide you with a payment link or with our bank accounts so you can pay for the booking amount.

Get your booking confirmation

If you have not received this confirmation, please check your spam folder and if you have not received anything, please contact us.

Many times, the bookings are made through providers and it takes some time for the hotels to be informed from the suppliers. In any contact between you and the hotel, make sure you mention the Reference code that is in your voucher.

Travelmyth reserves the right to request proof of id and/or credit card copy from the cardholder, as a security measure against fraud insidents and unauthorized used of the card.

Change or cancel your booking

In the confirmation email that you receive from us, there is a link "Manage your booking". Through that, you can check your booking, download your receipt or invoice, change and cancel your booking.

By choosing cancellation, you will see the refund amount you are entitled to and by confirming this, your booking will be cancelled automatically and you will receive an email with the confirmation of the cancellation.

By choosing modification, we will receive your modification request. Following, we will check the cost and the availability and we will inform you accordingly.

The cancellation policy varies based on the hotel and the room type. Charging cancellation fees depends on the cancellation policy that applies to the room that you chose during your booking process. In the confirmation email, as well as in the voucher that you received from us, the cancellation policy is mentioned as well as the dates withing which the cancellation is allowed, along with the applicable charges. If you proceed to a cancellation and there are cancellation charges, then that amount will be deducted from the refund amount you are entitled to.

In the event of cancellation of a booking, you will receive a cancellation confirmation email that also contains the refund amount. Your refund will be processed from us the next following business day. The time that is required to receive the funds to your account, varies depending on your bank and it usually is 2-7 business days. Please note that you will be refunded through the same payment method that you used for your booking.

In a modification of a booking (e.x. dates change), there is a service fee of 10 euro per booking. Depending on your new desired dates, the cost of the new booking might be higher that the original one. If you wish to proceed with your modification, you should also pay for this price difference.

If there is availability and you agree with the cost, our agents will provide you with a link or with our bank account to pay for that cost.

Our agents will inform you about the cost on the day they contact you without making any changes yet. This cost might change depending on the availability or the date that you confirm the change. Any change, is processed only, after you have paid the above mentioned costs and during business days and hours. Any cost difference or availability changes occur in the time between these incidents is the client's expense to pay.

Name changes are not allowed in all the hotels. However, you can proceed with submitting a modification request and our agents will inform you regarding the possibility and the cost, if any, after they contact the hotel. In the event that a name is wrong, the hotel reserves the right to deny accommodation or to impose extra charges. In the name change requests, if the hotel offers it free of charge, we will not charge you also.

If for any reason you cannot or do not wish to submit your cancellation / modification request through the website, you can alternatively submit a request through email or phone (no voice mail).

All the requests submitted this way will be processed during business hours and days and if they are submitted out of those, they will be processed the next business day. For these requests as date for the calculation of the cancellation fees, will be the date of processing the request.

Getting to the hotel

Upon arrival at the hotel, you should present the voucher for your booking and a proof of identification.

Any special requests, will be provided to the hotel, however providing them is up to the hotel depending on availability and they are not guaranteed by Travelmyth.

In general, you can check in a hotel from 14:00 and check out anytime before the predefined time of check out, that is usually at 12:00 noon.

If you wish early check in and/or late check out, you should keep in mind that this depends on the availability of a room and usually it is not free of charge.

Late check in: If you plan to arrive at the hotel after 18:00, you should notify the hotel the soonest possible. If the hotel is not informed, this may result in the room to be resold and Travelmyth is not responsible for this event.

Early checkout: If you wish to be refunded for the event of early checkout, you're responsible for obtaining and providing hotel-issued early check-out permission documents. However, this does not guarantee any refund, and it will be only provided upon reconfirmation from the hotel, and the hotel first refunding us and then Travelmyth, refunds the client.
