Location
Imperial Hotel Blackpool is perfectly located for exploring all that Blackpool has to offer. Situated just a few minutes walk from the center of the promenade, it's a handy location - far enough away from the center to avoid noise, but close enough to easily get in on the tram. The hotel boasts a tram stop just outside, making it a convenient spot for getting around. Additionally, the center of town is within easy walking distance, while many shops and entertainment options are just a short stroll down the promenade. Guests loved the hotel's lovely views of the sea and some were lucky enough to enjoy seaview rooms. All in all, the hotel presents an ideal location for those seeking to explore Blackpool but also desire peace and quiet.

Breakfast
Guests at the Imperial Hotel Blackpool had mixed feelings about the breakfast with some describing it as amazing or fantastic and others as poor or just pretty good. Many guests appreciated the wide range of choices available, including porridge, poached eggs, branded cereal and a good selection of hot and cold items such as pastries, juice, fresh fruit and yogurt. The buffet breakfast was generally well-liked, although some guests had to queue for a long time on busy mornings. Some guests commented on the excellent value for money, but others felt that the price could have been lower. The quality of the breakfast was often described as hit or miss with some guests struggling to find anything they really enjoyed, while others raved about the tasty food and freshly cooked hot selection. Overall, most guests found the breakfast to be decent and the staff friendly and helpful, although some felt that there were not enough coffee, milk satchels or cartons to go around.

Dinner
Imperial Hotel Blackpool's dinner offerings didn't disappoint its guests as they raved about the fantastic food that was both tasty and well-presented. Many appreciated the reasonable pricing of the nice evening meal they had with some even enjoying a 6-course gala dinner with entertainment. Despite some reports of permanently unavailable menu items and slow dinner service, the majority found the evening meal to be really good and lovely. The service and meals were excellent for some with guests praising the warmth and cosiness of their rooms, while a few reported that the food and service fell short of expectations. Regardless of the few hiccups, guests still enjoyed their evening dinner at Imperial Hotel Blackpool.

Rooms
The Imperial Hotel Blackpool offers a traditional and grand experience for guests with spacious rooms, some offering lovely side or sea views. While some rooms were a bit dated and in need of upgrading, they were generally clean and comfortable with large and comfy beds. The hotel maintains its charm and heritage with original decor, but some rooms have been refurbished tastefully. However, some guests experienced issues with the room being too warm or lacking proper ventilation. Despite some rooms showing signs of age and in need of maintenance, the building itself is beautiful and grand with great views from the lounge. While there may be a lack of modern facilities, such as in-room access to water and smaller TVs, the hotel makes up for it with free toiletries and a cosy atmosphere. Overall, the Imperial Hotel Blackpool is a lovely, albeit tired, hotel that still provides a comfortable stay for guests.

Beds
Guests have had mixed experiences with the beds at the Imperial Hotel Blackpool. While some found them to be very comfortable, large and comfy, others found them to be too hard and uncomfortable resulting in a sleepless night. Some guests were surprised to find two singles pushed together. However, overall, guests found the rooms to be clean and warm with a nice clean comfortable bed. There were a few complaints about uncomfortable beds but the majority of guests seemed satisfied with the comfort of their stay.

Cleanliness
When it comes to cleanliness, the Imperial Hotel Blackpool receives mixed reviews from its guests. While some guests find the hotel to be spotlessly clean and well-maintained, others have noted that certain parts of the hotel are in need of some TLC. However, despite some maintenance issues, guests generally agree that the rooms are usually clean and comfortable. Some guests mention that their rooms had lovely sea views and were well-presented, while others point out that the windows and bathroom could have been cleaner. Overall, guests appreciate the efforts of the friendly and helpful staff to keep the hotel clean and enjoyed the elegant communal spaces and cosy decorations. The rooms are generally considered good value with comfortable beds, although some guests did report issues with cleanliness, such as not enough hand towels or dusty radiators.

Staff
Guests have nothing but great things to say about the staff at Imperial Hotel Blackpool. They describe them as friendly, approachable, helpful and knowledgeable. They praise the reception staff for being organized and efficient and the bar staff for being helpful. Breakfast is said to be delicious and the staff serving it, friendly and helpful. Many guests admire the professionalism and courtesy of the hotel staff. Some even give shout-outs to specific team members, such as Ricky, Bev and Alex. The staff seem to play a significant role in making guests feel welcome and at home at this hotel.

Pool
Unfortunately, guests of the Imperial Hotel Blackpool have reported that the swimming pool and other leisure facilities have been closed during their visits. Some guests were disappointed to find out upon arrival that the pool was not available, while others noted that the facilities had been closed for refurbishment. Some guests expressed their desire for a gym and pool to be available at the hotel, given its size and potential demand. It is worth noting that some guests did mention their disappointment at the lack of pool and spa facilities even if they were aware in advance that they were closed.

Parking
Guests of the Imperial Hotel Blackpool have mixed feelings about the car parking situation. On one hand, some found the onsite car park to be a definite plus and thought it was excellent value for the price. However, others expressed difficulty in parking and disappointment at having to pay £9 per day for the privilege with some guests believing that parking should be included in the room rate. Some guests were put off by the unsecured nature of the car park and felt that paying extra for parking on top of the room charge was a rip-off. Luckily, there is plenty of free street parking available nearby for those who prefer to avoid paying the extra fee. Overall, while the hotel parking can be expensive and polarising, there are alternatives available for travellers willing to look further afield.

4 Star
Imperial Hotel Blackpool is the perfect choice for those seeking a classic, four-star experience at an affordable price. Based on reviews from satisfied guests, the hotel’s facilities and services are superb with many describing their stay as “very enjoyable” and a “good little break away.” The staff is also highly praised with guests commenting on their friendliness and great service. The hotel itself is a grand, old building with stylish reception, bar and dining areas. Guests can expect large bedrooms and spacious bathrooms, while the traditional style of the hotel adds to its charm. Despite some negative comments about slow customer service, the overall consensus is that Imperial Hotel Blackpool is a recommended choice for a wonderful stay in Blackpool.

Historic
The Imperial Hotel Blackpool is a traditional, grand old lady steeped in fascinating history. This 4-star, beautiful period property boasts a charming ambiance and has retained many features of its former glory. Although some guests noted that the plumbing is dated, this is expected as it is an old building. The hotel has welcomed many celebrities, ex-prime ministers and royalty over the years, including Marilyn Monroe, Winston Churchill and The Beatles. The refurbished rooms have been tastefully decorated in keeping with the building's charm and heritage. Its gorgeous, Victorian interior with stunning corridors and lights are a sight to behold. You can admire the history of this exceptional building, which is being kept alive by the wonderful staff. The old-fashioned elegance of the hotel only adds to its charm. A Blackpool gem, this hotel is part of our political history and a must-visit for those who appreciate the grandeur and history of a bygone era.
