Location
The Hilton Barbados Resort boasts a fantastic location set right on a beautiful beach, offering amazing views of the ocean. The hotel is situated near a surf beach and has a private beach area with several dining options, including a beach restaurant. Guests loved waking up to the ocean view and admired the wonderful nature surrounding the hotel. The beach out front of the hotel was exceptional and the pools were also nice. There are great beaches nearby with water sports facilities and it's easy to walk into the center of Bridgetown and to a number of quality restaurants. Some guests felt that the location could be better, as it's around 6 miles from the main strip/bars/restaurants, requiring a taxi or a tiki bus. However, overall, the location was considered excellent with great accessibility to the beach and a splendid view of the ocean.

Breakfast
The Hilton Barbados Resort offers a good breakfast with a range of options. Some guests are pleased to find that breakfast is included in their packages, while others feel it is overpriced. The buffet selection is good, although some guests note that there could be more options, such as vegetables and non-dairy/gluten-free choices. The quality of the food is generally good with highlights including omelettes and fresh juices. However, some guests find the pork sausages are too dry and the bacon undercooked. The biggest criticism of the breakfast experience is that there can be long queues for tables and the wait for the tables to be cleared can also be slow. Nevertheless, most guests appreciate the variety and quality of the breakfast options.

Dinner
Guests who dined at Hilton Barbados Resort had mixed experiences with their meals. While some complained about slow service, overpriced options and limited dining choices; others raved about the great restaurants, delicious food and helpful staff. Of note was the Grille restaurant, where guests enjoyed a lovely Valentine's Day meal with live entertainment. Though some found the food to be too simple, others thought it was excellent. Though some found the prices to be high, others cited the quality of the food as justification. Overall, there were pros and cons to dining at the hotel with some options being better value than others.

Rooms
The Hilton Barbados Resort has a mix of positive and negative guest reviews regarding their rooms. Many guests enjoyed the spacious and well-kept rooms with beautiful views and balconies. The beds were comfortable and some rooms had a coffee machine. The bathrooms were also noted to be good. However, some guests felt that the rooms were small for families of four and some rooms were smaller than expected. A few guests mentioned finding cleanliness issues in their rooms. The hotel overall was perceived as needing some cosmetic updates, but some guests noted that the rooms themselves were modern, cozy and clean. Some guests even received room upgrades with amazing views. Despite the mixed reviews, the hotel is noted to have plenty of space and amenities, making it worth the price for some guests.

Cleanliness
The Hilton Barbados Resort offers a mix of reviews about the cleanliness of the hotel. Some guests noted that there were rats in the evenings and that it seemed shabby and run-down. However, many guests reported lovely large clean rooms with comfortable beds and great amenities, like a lovely shower and balcony. The pools were also reported to be clean. Some areas of the hotel needed maintenance and upkeep, but the staff was friendly and kudos were given to the cleaning and maintenance staff. The beach was clean and some guests noted that the rooms were immaculately cleaned. Overall, cleanliness seemed to be a priority for the hotel.

Staff
The staff at Hilton Barbados Resort are a credit to the hotel with many reviewers praising their friendliness and attentiveness. Guests mentioned specific staff members who went above and beyond, such as Giselle Roach who organised gluten-free options for a guest's wife. However, some negative comments were made about a small number of staff members who were described as rude or lacking proper training. Overall, the warm and helpful nature of the majority of the staff was a highlight of guests' stays. From reception to housekeeping, the staff were described as exceptional, friendly and always willing to help. The only areas of improvement mentioned were some cases of poor customer service and negative attitudes from a few individuals.

Pool
The Hilton Barbados Resort boasts stunning outdoor pools, perfect for both adults and children, overlooking the beautiful Caribbean sea. Guests can enjoy spacious poolside areas with plenty of different places to lounge, as well as food and drinks by the pool and even live entertainment. There are several pools available, including a heated pool and a children's pool. While some reviewers mentioned the occasional shortage of towels or loungers, the majority praised the pool area and beach location. The beach is said to be lovely, though there were some comments about limited umbrellas. The overall impression is that the pool facilities are great, however, the hotel itself seemed a bit tired and in need of some refurbishment, particularly the dated pool bar. Despite this, the location on a beautiful beach and the natural surroundings were described as amazing and many guests loved the pools and beach area.

Beach
The Hilton Barbados Resort has earned high marks from visitors for its stunning beachfront location. Guests gushed about the hotel's pristine, uncrowded beach, which is clean and well-maintained with plenty of loungers available. Carlisle Bay and Pebbles Beach are located nearby for visitors looking for more options. While some guests mentioned issues with seaweed and rough waters, others noted that the beach was sheltered and private. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the beach and sea from the balconies of their rooms and the hotel's beachside bar and restaurant also received a lot of praise. Overall, the Hilton Barbados Resort is a great choice for those looking to soak up the sun and relax on a beautiful Caribbean beach.

Family
The Hilton Barbados Resort is a great choice for families looking for a relaxing vacation. The hotel boasts beautiful outdoor pools that offer stunning views of the Caribbean Sea. There is even a smaller kiddy pool for the younger guests. Although some families felt the rooms were a bit small for a party of four, they appreciated the option for a kids’ breakfast (despite some confusion about additional charges). The hotel also offers an array of activities outside their grounds, such as free turtle snorkelling and horse riding at 6am. Guests recommend trying food stalls outside the hotel such as Cuz’s Marlin sandwiches, The Happy Hour Spot cocktail van and Lobster Alive Sunday lunch with live music on the beach. Families with picky eaters may find the kids' menu lacking in variety, but they can request more options. Some guests did encounter some difficulty with certain staff members but overall had a short but happy stay at this quiet family hotel.

5 Star
The Hilton Barbados Resort is a wonderful experience for anyone looking for a luxurious vacation. Despite some negative opinions on the pricing, the facilities and services offered are exceptional and superb. The private beach area adds to the already great experience. While some may argue it's only a four star hotel, everything felt like a five star experience. Some guests did feel it was a bit tired, but overall it was a wonderful time.
