Very Good
Location
When it comes to location, The Commodore Hotel really hits the mark with all of its guests. Located close to the V&A Waterfront, it's perfectly situated for those wanting to explore this popular area. But it's not just the Waterfront that's easily accessible - guests also mention how convenient it is for sightseeing buses and other attractions. Despite the central location, guests also mention that it feels safe and secure. And, of course, a great location is nothing without great views: guests rave about the views of the mountains and V&A. All in all, The Commodore Hotel couldn't be better located.

Breakfast
The Commodore Hotel offers a wonderful breakfast with a great variety that leaves guests feeling satisfied. Although some reviewers mentioned that the breakfast could have been warmer and had more options, the overall consensus was that there was more than enough food to choose from. Some guests even raved about the junior suite and the food. While a few reviewers had some complaints about breakfast service and food quality, many guests had a superb experience. The hotel has implemented COVID-friendly measures for breakfast, but some guests found it difficult to open packets of cold meats. Despite some average reviews, many guests enjoyed the good variety of food offered. One guest even wrote "Ottima colazione", meaning excellent breakfast.

Rooms
The Commodore Hotel boasts a selection of well-decorated and clean rooms that guests found very welcoming. Several guests enjoyed the location of the hotel and the rooms and many were happy to report that their stay was more than comfortable. A junior suite in particular was praised for its quality and guests also appreciated the good room service. Some guests were pleased to receive room upgrades upon request. However, some negatives were also present in the reviews, such as small toilet and shower cubicles and some rooms needing upgrades due to worn out carpets and tired rooms. Despite these occasional shortcomings, most guests seemed to leave happy with their accommodations at The Commodore Hotel.

Staff
The Commodore Hotel has received many positive reviews regarding its staff, who are described as friendly, helpful, accommodating and efficient. Guests especially praised Gadija, who was excellent with children. The hotel's location is great and the bar area is lovely. While some guests had issues with the checking and bar service, the overall service was exceptional and beyond expectations with the staff going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Communication between staff members was occasionally unreliable and a few guests noted noisy air conditioning. However, the staff's excellent service throughout the hotel made up for any minor issues. Guests were impressed with the smooth checking in process and luggage assistance, as well as the hotel attending to their cars. The breakfast was also highly recommended. Overall, guests found the staff at The Commodore Hotel to be brilliant and the service to be the best they've experienced.
