Despite the steep climb, the location is ideal for exploring the city center, which is only a 10-minute walk away. The hotel is well situated for walking into town and is near to all amenities with plenty of off-road parking spaces available. Guests appreciate the prime location, which is ideal for short stays in Durham, as it allows easy reach to the city center and surrounding areas. Although the hotel is located on a large bank downhill into the outskirts of the city, the likes of the town square and cathedral are still within walking distance. Additionally, the hotel is ideally placed for guests to walk into town with an Indian restaurant conveniently located next door. The rooms are clean and tidy and breakfast is delicious. Overall, Farnley Tower Guesthouse is an excellent choice for those looking for a cosy, well-located house with friendly staff, lovely gardens and a fantastic room with a view.
