Although Florida as a state is one of the top summer destinations in the US, it does lack a very popular amenity, the pool swim-up bar.
Swim-up bars are allowed in private residences, but state law currently prohibits them in public pools (at hotels, theme parks and entertainment venues) because food and beverages are not allowed there.
Thankfully, this is about to change as a bill allowing the construction and operation of aquatic bars serving food and beverages in public pools cleared its second-to-last House committee in November 2022.
