Information provided by the hotelThis boutique hotel and restaurant is situated on the outskirts of the village and is surrounded by enchanting vineyards and majestic mountains. An hour's drive from Cape Town makes it the perfect getaway for anyone visiting the Western Cape.

The Country House is a restored manor house and former perfumery dating back to 1890 offering 14 standard and luxury rooms in addition to the 12 opulent villas suites. All en-suite rooms offer features and facilities expected of a first class hotel including LED TVs, free wi-fi, espresso machines, aircon, etc . Almost all rooms lead out onto private balconies or private patio with magnificent views. The opulent Villa Suites are havens of style and luxury, each 100sqm in size with separate lounge, fireplace, DVD player, music throughout, two balconies, and more!

During summer, guests can laze at one of the two pools (one heated) with beautiful mountain vistas, enjoy a massage, visit the boutique wine-farms in Franschhoek, or stroll in the charming town of Franschhoek. The hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle service to and from the village centre.

The award-winning in-house Monneaux restaurant, has become known for its modern and tasteful cuisine. A-la-Carte lunches are served on the magnificent new fountain terrace, whilst dinner is served in the understated yet elegant dining room or enclosed verandah.

Franschhoek Country House & Villas boasts a prime location in the heart of the winelands, minutes from town and perfect for visiting wine estates and restaurants. Guests particularly appreciated the convenient shuttle service into town, which made exploring the area easy and hassle-free. The beautiful setting offers stunning views and a world-class location that is ideal for getting to the wine tram. Although it is slightly out of Franschhoek and on a main road, the property is still conveniently located and ideally situated for proximity to all the facilities. However, some guests noted that it can be noisy with traffic racing night and day. Overall, the location of this hotel received high praise from travelers, describing it as beautiful, wonderful and excellent.
