Hotel Altes Zollhaus has garnered mixed reviews regarding its four-star rating, facilities and services. The most consistent praise from guests highlights the staff, described as mega friendly and helpful, which significantly enhances the guest experience. However, a few reviews suggest that other employees were not as friendly, leading to inconsistent service quality.
The breakfast service has been deemed satisfactory for a 4-star hotel, although some guests felt the choice was lacking, noting only brown sugar being available for coffee, which didn't suit everyone's taste. The cleaning service received criticism with some guests suggesting it could be better, which might contribute to the sentiment that the hotel falls short of its four-star rating.
Guest expectations of a four-star hotel, including amenities like bathrobes, were not always met. Some reviewers felt that a more customer-oriented approach was needed with the overall conclusion being that the four-star rating might be slightly exaggerated. Overall, while the hotel's staff receives high marks for their friendliness, the inconsistencies in service and amenities have led some guests to question the hotel’s four-star status.
