The resort was built on a rock formation along the Southern coast and is encompassed by tropical foliage. 3 room types and 3 villa types are available for guests to book depending on preference. There are many dining experiences on the property, such as beachside Italian food, classic Sri Lankan fish dishes, a lobby lounge, a poolside bar, and much more. Leisure activities are plentiful with a 25 meter long swimming pool, a state-of-the-art gym, a kids' and teens' club, resort surfing, and so much more. Anantara also has extensive spa and wellness programs and facilities for all of your relaxation needs.

Set by the Indian Ocean and sitting on Rekawa Beach is the raved-about Buckingham Place. All 16 rooms are extremely spacious and boast bathtubs, a rainfall shower, and ocean-view balconies. Buckingham also has an ocean-view restaurant that changes its menu daily, and can even make special accommodations. When you want to take a dip there is private beach access, a 33 meter long ocean-view infinity pool, a 12 meter long garden pool, a nearby rock-pool, and swim-up bar. You can enjoy movie nights, pool, snooker, and volleyball. There are also massage services available from both male and female therapists. The best part of staying at the peaceful Buckingham Place is the surrounding nature and wildlife, particularly turtles.
