Location
If you're planning a trip to Waikiki, there's no better place to stay than Park Shore Waikiki. Guests rave about its central location - you'll be within walking distance of everything you need, including great restaurants, shops and convenience stores. Plus, the hotel is right across the street from a beautiful beach and park with the Honolulu Zoo, making it an ideal spot to base your family vacation. And if you're looking for a quieter respite from the hubbub of the main drag, Park Shore Waikiki is situated at the quieter end of Waikiki. Many guests highly recommend the ocean view balcony rooms for their stunning views of the beach and Diamond Head Volcano. With quick elevators and friendly staff to help with any questions or needs, you'll love the combination of convenience, peace and beauty that Park Shore Waikiki offers.

Breakfast
The Park Shore Waikiki does not offer breakfast, but guests can enjoy a 10% discount at nearby Lulu's. Some guests found the noise level there to be a bit high, but others preferred Bevvy & Tucker next door for their unique grain bowls and sandwiches. It would be nice if the hotel offered a simple serve-yourself breakfast, but they do provide free fresh brewed coffee in the lobby in the morning. Some guests appreciated the pretty good coffee during breakfast hours, while others wished there was a continental breakfast option. Despite this, the free coffee in the morning and the availability of water and umbrellas were appreciated by many. Some guests suggested that the hotel should provide a coffee maker and a microwave since breakfast is not included. Overall, guests enjoyed the various breakfast options nearby and the free morning caffeine fix provided by the hotel.

Rooms
Park Shore Waikiki offers cozy and comfortable rooms with amazing views of Diamond Head and the ocean. While some guests mentioned that the rooms were smaller than advertised, a few updates might be needed or that the building is a bit old, most guests noted that their rooms were well-kept and clean. Some guests noted some basic amenities were missing or that the rooms needed more comfortable seating options, but most found the beds to be very comfortable. It's worth noting that some guests had issues with their views from certain rooms, but others were very happy with their balcony views. Overall, despite being an older hotel, Park Shore Waikiki delivers on beautiful views, comfortable rooms and great value for the price.

Beds
Guests have mixed opinions about the beds at Park Shore Waikiki. While some found the beds to be comfortable and of high quality, others complained that the beds were too small, hard and even squeaky. It's worth noting that some guests also reported that the hotel advertises queen beds when in fact, they are only double beds. However, bedding was generally praised with some guests commending the hotel for providing four big pillows. Despite complaints about the beds, guests found the room to be clean in most cases. One guest was unfortunately shocked to find garbage and even a dirty diaper between their bed and window. Additionally, some guests have reported issues with the number of towels provided.

Cleanliness
The Park Shore Waikiki hotel is a great choice for those looking for a clean and well-maintained property in a prime location near the beach. The lobby is always clean and the pool area is inviting. While some guests found the rooms to be small, old and outdated, most agreed that they were clean and comfortable. Housekeeping is done every other day, but some guests found it to be haphazard and wished it was more frequent. There were some complaints about dirty windows and bathrooms, but overall, the cleanliness and comfort were good. The hotel could use some updates and renovations and some guests experienced maintenance issues like musty smells and mold spots. However, many appreciated the hotel's services and facilities and had nothing negative to say.

Staff
If you're looking for a hotel in Waikiki with exceptional staff, look no further than Park Shore Waikiki. Guests consistently praise the friendly and helpful front desk staff, who are always willing to provide assistance or book activities for guests. Manager Jon receives special recognition for his outstanding job and Kana'i at the front desk is noted for being personable and helpful. While there may have been an odd encounter during check-in with one staff member, guests report that every other staff member they encountered was great. At this hotel, you can expect relaxed, welcoming and over-the-top friendly service. Some guests even found the staff to be exceptional, providing unbeatable service and going above and beyond to make their stay special. The hotel also offers a concierge room where you can plan tours and excursions with the assistance of knowledgeable staff. All in all, if you want to stay in a hotel with great service, Park Shore Waikiki comes highly recommended.

Pool
The Park Shore Waikiki hotel has a lovely pool area that guests mostly enjoyed during their stay. The pool is located right next to the beach, which offers a great view from rooms that overlook it. While some guests found the pool to be small, most appreciated the cleanliness and relaxing atmosphere of the pool area. Others commented on the availability of free beach towels and chairs, making for a convenient and enjoyable beach experience. Although some guests found the pool to be too cold, others thought it was great and had good views over the beach. Some reviewers suggested that the pool could benefit from a facelift or being heated, but ultimately guests agreed that with the beach across the road, the pool wasn't a make or break feature of their stay.

Beach
Park Shore Waikiki is the perfect destination for beach lovers. Its location couldn't be better - just across the street from a lovely and family-friendly swimming beach. Plus, the hotel offers free beach chairs, umbrellas, toys and even rentals for surfboards and speakers. Additionally, the location is not only close to the beach but also to a large park with the Honolulu Zoo, shops and restaurants along the main avenue. The hotel gives a voucher for three free beach items daily from a nearby shop and some balconies even offer fantastic views of the Diamond Head and the beach. All in all, this hotel's proximity to the beach makes it a very convenient and desirable place to stay when visiting Waikiki.

Parking
Travelers who plan on renting a car while staying at the Park Shore Waikiki should be aware that parking can be quite costly - with valet parking coming in at a staggering $50 per night. However, some guests found the speedy valet service to be worth the high price tag. For those looking to save money, there is free street parking available on the other side of the zoo. One guest unfortunately experienced damage to their car in the hotel parking lot but found the staff unhelpful in resolving the issue. Ultimately, those who opt for valet parking will find it to be excellent and prompt.

4 Star
The Park Shore Waikiki hotel is a great choice for those seeking a pleasant and comfortable stay in a prime location. While some guests felt that the hotel was a bit overrated at four stars and expensive, others found it to be a good value for the area. The hotel's Ocean King room was particularly recommended and the front desk staff was outstanding. Families will appreciate the hotel's proximity to the beach and quiet location away from the busy nightlife scene. While some guests had minor issues and felt the hotel could be improved to meet four-star standards, others thoroughly enjoyed their stay and would consider it as a top choice for future visits.
