Haunted Resort
The Omni Homestead Resort was built in 1766 and is one of the oldest resorts in America. Apart from a long history, though, the resort also has a rather sad ghost story to tell. During the 1900s, a young bride-to-be took her own life on the day of the wedding, when she found out that her fiance ran away. Her ghost is said to still haunt the 14th floor of the hotel, asking the guests or members of the staff for the time, since she is still waiting for her fiance to return.

Breakfast
Guests of The Omni Homestead Resort have many different opinions about the hotel's breakfast offerings. For the most part, guests found the breakfast to be quite enjoyable. Some particularly praised the food, calling it "excellent," "good," "lovely," and "wonderful." Guests also appreciated the service and ambiance in the dining hall. Others found the little café more than adequate for their breakfast needs with breakfast sandwiches and coffee on offer. While some reviewers did think that breakfast was overpriced, most did not seem to mind paying extra for the excellent food and service. There were a few guests who were not as impressed with the breakfast offerings, citing that they would prefer a more European-style breakfast or that the breakfast was simply mediocre. Despite these few negative remarks, the breakfast at The Omni Homestead Resort seems to be a highlight for many guests.

Dinner
Guests at The Omni Homestead Resort have mixed reviews about the dinner options available. While some praise the food at the Jefferson dining room and describe it as excellent, others caution against dining there and suggest long wait times for food. There were limited food options, which left guests wishing for more explanation about the available choices. Positive reviews mentioned the Chateaubriand as amazing and the food being very good. However, there were some complaints about the high prices and overpriced chicken dinner at Jefferson’s, which was described as “sickening”. Woody's restaurant seemed to be underperforming as well, due to lack of staff. Guests who went to the main dining room were unhappy to find it closed, while others were disappointed with the food selection served at Thanksgiving. Overall, while some guests had a great experience, others found the dinner options limited or overpriced.

Rooms
The Omni Homestead Resort offers a mix of reviews when it comes to their rooms. Some guests rave about their perfectly upgraded and relaxing rooms with breathtaking views, while others complain about dirty and outdated furniture, small bathrooms and issues with plumbing and temperature control. The property is currently undergoing renovations, resulting in limited room availability and closed areas of the hotel. However, the hotel's historic significance and beautiful setting make up for some of the maintenance issues. Some guests enjoyed the large and pretty rooms, while others found them small and dirty. Overall, the hotel offers great interiors and a quiet atmosphere, but everything could use a refresh according to some guests.

Cleanliness
The Omni Homestead Resort may have some negative reviews regarding cleanliness, but don't let that discourage you from booking a stay. While a few guests have reported issues such as smudged drinking glasses, worn carpets and old plumbing, the majority of guests praise the staff and overall experience. Some areas of the resort may need a deep cleaning, such as the public restrooms, but in general, the hotel is well-maintained. Of course, the property is aging, but that doesn't detract from the overall charm of the place. One guest did have a poor experience with housekeeping, but this seems to be an isolated incident. In conclusion, if you're willing to pay a bit more for a great experience, The Omni Homestead Resort is definitely worth considering.

Staff
The staff at The Omni Homestead Resort have received varied reviews, but the majority are positive. Many guests have expressed gratitude for the friendly and helpful staff, who went above and beyond to accommodate them during their stay. There were a few unpleasant encounters with certain staff members, but the vast majority were warm, hospitable and professional. Bellhops were particularly highlighted as being very helpful. Some guests had to ask more questions than usual to get information, but overall, the staff were very attentive and responsive. The front desk and restaurant staff received mixed reviews, but the spa staff were exceptional. It was noted that some staff appeared undertrained, but this didn't detract from the guests' overall experience. The service and facilities were excellent and many guests agreed that you won't find better staff elsewhere.

Spa
According to guest reviews of The Omni Homestead Resort, the spa is an absolute hit. Visitors spent a lot of time at the spa, which was described as wonderful with friendly and helpful staff. Although extra activities, including the spa, are pricey, the natural hot springs pool is a highlight of the resort. The serenity garden is the most impressive part of the resort with modern amenities and beautiful views and guests say it exceeded expectations. However, some reviewers noted that their teens were not allowed in the water at the spa and paying extra for the hot springs pools was necessary. The spa and natural "healing" warm springs were some of the original reasons visitors came here, alongside the grounds, which are great for a relaxing escape. Finally, the spa facilities were excellent and guests had no complaints. Overall, if you're looking for relaxation and rejuvenation, The Omni Homestead Resort's spa is a must!

Pool
The Omni Homestead Resort boasts an amazing pool area that's sure to please all ages. The outdoor pool is a fun spot with a water slide and lazy river that teenagers seem to love. All the pools are well-maintained with great grounds. However, some guests were disappointed with the extra charges to use the outdoor pool, hot tub and mineral pool as they were limited and cost $75 each. Despite this, the indoor and outdoor pools are still worth a visit, although keep in mind that the outdoor pool doesn't accept cash as payment! The hotel itself is undergoing construction, but the interiors are in great condition. So, whether it's for a relaxing dip in the lazy river or a thrilling ride down the pool water slide, the pools at The Omni Homestead Resort offer a great way to unwind and have fun during your stay.

Golf
The golf courses at The Omni Homestead Resort are a definite highlight according to recent guest reviews. The Old Course, in particular, received high praise for its quality and historical significance. Golfers will appreciate the excellent location and amenities provided with friendly staff at the golf shop adding to the positive experience. After a round of golf, guests are advised to head to the Woodys restaurant for a delicious meal. Overall, the golf courses are one of the standout features of this resort with nothing negative to report.

Historic
The Omni Homestead Resort is a stunning historical hotel that is definitely worth a visit. The hotel and its surrounding areas are beautiful and offer a unique experience that you won't find anywhere else. Guests love the rich history of the area and the hotel itself with many mentioning the Washington & Lee function and the Jefferson historic pools. The hotel's historic significance is certainly a draw for travelers, who appreciate the beautiful historic resort complex and the lovely Southern Hospitality.
