What is the history of the property?
It was the first police station of Ierapetra town, and then it became private hospital for mothers who give birth. It became first hotel of Ierapetra in 1964.
Is the property surrounded by other historic buildings?
It is situated in Lakedra str, a street where may rich people use to build at that time. There are many properties still like that.
Has restoration work taken place?
Many restorations since it is an old building, almost every 3 years.
Are there any elements of particular historical importance at the building?
It is like a small museum, with items from the old everyday Cretan Life.
Are there any important guests or previous owners worth mentioning?
Yes, many singers, but for privacy reasons I would not like to mention names.
Has the property received any certifications for its historical status?
Not really. There is a photo of the hotel in EOT (National Tourism Organization) offices in their main building in Heraklio
