Good
Location
Forest Park Hotel enjoys a fantastic location on the edge of Jasper, surrounded by stunning mountains and wildlife that can be spotted from the balcony. Guests can easily walk into the town center and explore the shops and eateries. The hotel is conveniently situated near Starbucks and there are plenty of free parking spaces available. However, some guests feel that the hotel is a bit far from downtown and needs a car ride or taxi. Nevertheless, Forest Park Hotel is an ideal choice for visitors looking to explore Jasper and the region and there are good deals to be found despite some reviews saying there are better options available for your money.

Breakfast
Forest Park Hotel offers a breakfast buffet with a good selection of food, including freshly squeezed juice, bacon, toast, muffins and eggs Benedict. However, some guests found the buffet to be limited and overpriced with poor vegetarian choices and cold food. Others preferred ordering off the menu but were disappointed that this wasn't an option for breakfast. Additionally, a few guests experienced issues such as broken equipment and long wait times. Some advised not to have breakfast at the hotel at all, while others found the breakfast to be great or delicious but wished it was included or offered at a lower price. Guests in the new part of the hotel were also upset that they didn't receive breakfast coupons despite paying for an upgrade. Overall, it seems that the breakfast at Forest Park Hotel caters more towards bus tours than individual guests and there may be better options outside of the hotel for those looking for a more customized and affordable breakfast.

Dinner
The guest reviews of dinner at Forest Park Hotel are mixed with some praising the excellent food while others found the portions expensive and small. Some guests were left hungry after dinner and wished for more options on the menu. The service and staff at the hotel restaurant received mixed reviews with some guests finding the staff attentive and friendly while others were disappointed by slow service and a lack of awareness about the menu. The hotel's restaurant is not ideal for families with young children and some guests reported that it closes by 9pm on weekends. However, the restaurant offers great views of the landscape and cozy fireplaces, both inside and outside. While the lounge was closed early on weekends, guests praised the Detroit pizza and other dishes served in the restaurant. On some weekdays, the restaurant is closed for private events and some guests were unable to dine at all due to the limited hours of operation. Prices for food were generally commensurate with local prices and opinions were mixed on whether the hotel restaurant represented a good value.

Rooms
The Forest Park Hotel offers a mix of old and new when it comes to its rooms. While some guests have reported outdated buildings and older sections of the hotel, others have praised the newly renovated, modern rooms in the newer wings. The rooms are generally clean and tidy with some exceptions of broken closet doors, chipping paint and outdated carpets. The beds are comfortable and some of the new building rooms even come with kitchenettes. Some guests have also enjoyed balconies overlooking the greenery, while others have only had the interior windows to look at. The common areas of the hotel, including the lobby with its big fireplace, are generally nice and well-maintained. However, there have been some complaints about limited parking, thin walls and lack of ventilation in some rooms. Overall, the Forest Park Hotel offers a decent stay with a mix of pros and cons, depending on which section of the hotel guests end up in.

Beds
The beds at Forest Park Hotel have received mixed reviews from guests. While some rave about their incredibly comfortable beds and excellent sleep, others suggest that the beds could do with an upgrade or replacement. However, the majority of guests seem to agree that the beds are comfortable with many describing them as super comfy or very comfortable. Some guests have noted that the rooms themselves are also large and comfortable with big and good beds. Sadly, a few guests have reported uncomfortable beds or very bad beds and one reviewer even mentioned twin beds located too close to the room's air conditioner. Despite the occasional negative review, guests seem generally satisfied with the beds at Forest Park Hotel and many mention that they slept really well. If you're looking for a quiet and comfortable night's sleep, this hotel may be worth considering.

Cleanliness
The cleanliness of Forest Park Hotel has been a mixed bag according to guest reviews. Some guests found the hotel to be very clean and tidy from the get-go with rooms that were spotless and comfortable, spacious and well-designed and clean bedding and lots of towels provided. On the other hand, some guests reported dirty rooms, dirty washroom sinks, dirty coffee machines and shower curtains that smelled sour or were gross. A couple of towels were stained and the pool stalls were slimy. Some guests also complained about fumes in the room and an odd chemical smell, possibly of chlorine. While most guests found the hotel to be clean with pleasant-smelling toiletries, some found the hotel's cleanliness standards to have fallen off the chart with signs of long-term cleaning neglect and truly gross conditions. Despite these mixed reviews, many guests found the hotel's cleanliness to be adequate with reasonable prices, while some mentioned the need for renovations and refreshes in certain areas. Also, there were ongoing building works outside some of the windows.

Staff
Forest Park Hotel prides itself on its welcoming and accommodating staff who go above and beyond to make their guests feel at home. The front desk and restaurant staff received high praise for their friendliness and competence with many guests stating that they made check-in and check-out easy and quick. Some guests even went as far as to say that the staff were fantastic.

While there were a few isolated incidents of unfriendly reception staff, the majority of guests found the staff to be warm and pleasant. Staff members were described as super attentive, caring and proactive - they would go out of their way to make sure that guests were comfortable and had everything they needed.

Guests particularly appreciated the staff's helpfulness when it came to navigating the hotel and printing tickets. While some felt that certain staff could have been more helpful, the majority of guests felt that the staff was top-notch and the hotel was a great place to stay thanks to their pleasant demeanor and customer service.

Spa
Forest Park Hotel boasts a fabulous spa with excellent facilities. Guests can indulge in a range of activities, from an invigorating swim in the nice pool to unwinding in the steam room or hot tub. The spa's sauna provides added relaxation and guests appreciate the variety of offerings available. Although one guest was disappointed when the hot tub was under maintenance, overall reviews of the spa were positive. Families loved how the great pool facilities offered fun for everyone and travelers unanimously agreed that the spa added to the hotel's charm.

Pool
The Forest Park Hotel offers a great pool and hot tub for guests to enjoy with clean and well-maintained facilities. However, some guests found the pool to be too open to other guests and noisy at times, especially if their room faced the pool. Towel size was also an issue for some guests. The pool area could use more security to monitor unattended children and drinking parents. Some guests suggested having adult-only pool hours or a second hot tub. The indoor pool and jacuzzi were also nice options. However, some guests had poor experiences such as crowded, noisy and smelly pools or malfunctioning showers. Despite some negative feedback, many guests enjoyed the pool and hot tub and found it a good way to relax after a day of activities. The hotel also has a decent restaurant on-site and a lovely courtyard.

Family
If you're a family looking for a great place to stay, the Forest Park Hotel is definitely worth considering. This property caters to families exclusively and has a variety of fun activities nearby for kids to enjoy. However, some guests noted that there were too many unattended kids running around and parents drinking on the deck, which could be a safety concern. The hotel does offer pet-friendly rooms for those bringing furry family members along. While some guests found the atmosphere a little too hectic or child-focused (like eating in a kids area), others appreciated the Disney channel for kids and the pool that offered fun for all families. So if you're looking for a place that's great for families, the Forest Park Hotel could be a good choice, especially if you're interested in nearby activities for kids.

3 Star
Forest Park Hotel offers standard average accommodation at a fair price with cheap prices that make it a good-value option for budget-conscious travelers. Some guests highlighted the outdated facilities, including the bathrooms that were described as abgenutzt or worn-down. Despite this, the hotel carries on with its service and facilities. It was mentioned that the hotel needs a face lift to match the new addition and some guests found it to be expensive for the quality of the resort. Although some guests mentioned that they probably wouldn't stay here again, there were no specific phrases found regarding the three-star rating of the hotel.

Indoor Pool
The Forest Park Hotel offers a wonderful indoor pool that guests have enjoyed during their stay. Some guests have mentioned having a room with a view of the pool, while others have complimented the pool's design and appearance with phrases such as "tres belle piscine." Reviews have described the indoor pool as "fun" and "nice" with the additional benefit of a jacuzzi. Despite some reviews not mentioning the indoor pool, those that do have provided positive feedback, making it worth a visit during your stay.
