Unusual Hotel
The Icehotel is made completely out of ice and every year hosts art exhibitions made of ice and snow.
Torne river provides the amount of ice needed in order for the hotel to be constructed every winter. During the summer, the whole structure melts into the river where it came from, until the following winter that artists from all over the word come in order to buid the hotel again, from scratch.

Very Good
Location
Icehotel is an exceptional place to stay with its beautiful location and impressive ice rooms. Despite being in the middle of nowhere, there are plenty of lovely activities and attractions in the surrounding area, including a good Sami museum and the opportunity to feed reindeer nearby. The staff in the restaurant are lovely and entrance to the icehotels is included when staying in Icehotel. The hotel is a 20-minute drive from Kiruna and there is a small village nearby with a supermarket. The location is simply stunning with the hotel situated directly on the lake. Guests can explore the cold rooms and other areas of the hotel until 6 pm daily when staying in a warm room. The calm atmosphere and comfortable bedding make for a quality night's sleep. Some guests found the walk between the parking lot, reception, restaurant and rooms to be quite long since they are in separate buildings. However, this is a small price to pay for such a fantastic location. Overall, Icehotel is definitely worth a visit and provides a beautiful setting for a memorable stay.

Breakfast
One of the highlights of staying at Icehotel is the excellent breakfast that guests rave about in their reviews. The breakfast is described as having a great variety of options to choose from with many special or regional dishes available. The buffet is also frequently mentioned for being well-stocked and many guests appreciate the vegetarian or vegan options. The helpful and friendly staff are noted for their alertness in keeping the breakfast items well filled throughout service, even with a large number of guests. Some guests mention that the breakfast is included in the room rate, making it an excellent value. Overall, the breakfast at Icehotel is consistently described as delicious, fantastic, excellent, wonderful and one of the best breakfasts guests have ever experienced.

Dinner
Icehotel's dinner options have received high praise from its guests. The ice menu dinner was particularly excellent, while the Homestead provided a great option for kids. Despite a less than stellar dessert, the meals were generally good, even accommodating for dietary restrictions like gluten-free options. The restaurant's service was described as friendly, accommodating and with knowledgeable staff offering recommendations. The variety of options could be improved with more vegetarian and chicken choices for lunch and dinner. However, the overall consensus was that the dinner and location were superb - a must-try experience.

Rooms
Icehotel offers a unique experience with impressive and sculptural ice rooms and comfortable warm rooms, some of which have a Nordic touch. Guests loved the spacious and clean accommodations with some mentioning the underfloor heating and awesome showers. The warm chalets were particularly comfortable, while the ice rooms were fun to look at. The hotel also has a rustic charm with some guests describing the rooms as housed in outdated or rustic cottages. Although some of the normal rooms were deemed overpriced, the architectural and sculptural rooms were worth the extra bucks. Despite some minor issues like outdated toilets, showers with shower curtains, television only in Swedish and less equipped kitchenettes, guests generally praised the room sizes and comfort. Overall, it's a great place to stay and explore the impressive ice rooms until 6 pm.

Beds
The Icehotel offers a unique experience with warm and comfortable rooms in wooden chalets. Guests have praised the comfortable beds and excellent sleep quality. The rooms are nicely done and spacious with options for extra beds if needed. Although some guests found the provided sleepwear uncomfortable, the majority have found the beds to be super comfortable with some describing them as "excellent" and "great". Some guests found the beds a bit hard, but overall, the general consensus is that the beds are very comfortable. Overall, the Icehotel provides a comfortable and cozy sleeping experience that guests have enjoyed.

Cleanliness
Icehotel is a great choice if you're looking for a clean and comfortable stay in Sweden. Many guests have mentioned that their rooms and the common areas are spotlessly clean and well-maintained. The hotel staff is described as friendly and accommodating by several guests. The hotel offers fantastic frukost, breakfast, which is praised by many guests. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped with cleaning products and toiletries. The new section of the hotel offers very fresh accommodation. Although a few guests have mentioned issues with cleanliness, such as mold in the shower and full bins upon arrival, overall, guests seem satisfied with the cleanliness of Icehotel.

Staff
Icehotel is a destination where the staff can make all the difference to your stay. The hotel has received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback regarding their kind and accommodating employees. Guests rave about the lovely staff in the restaurant and reception and how great they make the experience of staying at the hotel. The tour guides are fantastic while the ice sculpting instructor, Martin, is a pro at guiding guests in their art. Moreover, the personnel are professionals that speak perfect English and are always ready to answer questions or offer their assistance. The breakfast is excellent and the staff is attentive to guests' needs. There have been a few reports of some employees at reception not being very helpful, but it's counterbalanced by the many positive comments on the staff's service-oriented and friendly attitude. Overall, the staff at Icehotel are exceptional, making your stay all the more enjoyable.

Parking
If you're planning on driving to Icehotel, there's good news - there are plenty of parking spaces available free of charge. However, some guests have mentioned that the parking area may be a bit small, so it's best to arrive early to secure your spot. While there are no parking spaces directly next to the rooms, guests are able to park nearby without much trouble. Unfortunately, there are no options for charging electric cars at the hotel. While there were a few negative comments about the signage around the hotel being confusing, overall it seems that finding a parking spot at Icehotel should be hassle-free.

4 Star
Icehotel is a four-star hotel with great facilities and services. Most guests were pleased with their stay with many describing it as good or very good. Some guests thought the price was a bit high, but overall they were satisfied with the experience. The hotel room cleanliness could have been better according to a few guests, but it wasn't too bad. It's worth noting that some amenities like the TV were only in Swedish, which may be an issue for non-Swedish speaking guests. There were some minor complaints about noise and lack of amenities like a fridge or power outlets near the bed. However, these issues didn't stop most guests from enjoying their stay. All in all, while there is room for improvement, Icehotel is a fantastic choice for those who want to experience unique accommodation in Sweden.
