The hotel is located 2 km away from Kamala beach and transportation between the reception and rooms takes time due to the steep slopes. Although there is no nearby beach, Patong town is just a 10-minute drive away. The hotel offers buggies to navigate the hills, which guests found fun. The area is perfect for couples seeking a quiet getaway, although it might be a bit difficult for the elderly and children. The hotel receives mixed reviews regarding its location with some guests preferring to be closer to the beach and shops, while others appreciated the quiet and stunning views.

Breakfast

Special shoutouts were given to staff members such as Evgenia, Beer, Neng, Aiwa, Thip, Tar and Guy for going above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay for guests. However, there were a few instances where guests encountered unfriendly and unhelpful staff, but they seem to be exceptions rather than the rule. The hotel's staff is noted for being professional, courteous, diligent and very kind. The only language barrier experience was among non-managerial staff, but the managers and other key people are English speaking. Additionally, the staff's responsiveness and helpfulness at the restaurant, travel desk and playroom for kids were highly commended, while the slow service was noted as a concern for one reviewer only. Overall, the staff at Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort is top-notch with guests reporting an exceptional level of service during their stay.

For families who love water activities, the hotel organizes free snorkeling trips from the hotel beach. Additionally, the hotel has a gorgeous outdoor jacuzzi in some family suites and the ocean views are outstanding. Although some guests suggested having more food choices and activities for kids, the overall experience was positive with excellent service, facilities and food.
