Location
Koh Yao Yai Village is a remote complex located on the east side of the island, surrounded by trees and a quiet beach. The location is perfect for exploring the island with easy and convenient access to the main road and the ability to rent a motorbike to venture around. The resort is situated in a wonderful green jungle environment, offering beautiful nature, clean beach and well-kept green areas. Guests can enjoy lovely views and lush gardens, as well as the tranquility of being away from crowds. The hotel's location also provides ample outside possibilities, such as renting a scooter uphill and exploring the island's beauty beaches. Some guests found it difficult to find negative points with the only downside being the beach that is not great for swimming. However with an infinity pool with a fantastic view, this negative point is easily overlooked. Koh Yao Yai Village is the best resort in terms of location, according to some guests, providing a perfect place to relax and enjoy a peaceful and isolated jungle/beach stay on an unspoilt island.

Guests have generally raved about the breakfast at Koh Yao Yai Village. With many commenting on the great variety and choices available, including a cooking station with daily-changing dishes, guests have been impressed by the quality and taste of the food on offer. The Krachang Bar & Grill has received special praise for its very good fish. Some have suggested trying the local nearby Chill Chill restaurant instead for better food and atmosphere. Despite these mixed reviews, there are a number of guests who have reported that the food is good or even amazing. Prices at the hotel's restaurant are reportedly expensive, but some guests have found good deals on breakfast, lunch and dinner. Finally, some guests have also noted that service at the restaurant can be slow and inattentive.

Rooms
If you’re looking for a beautiful and spacious room in a stunning location, Koh Yao Yai Village is the perfect place for you! The hotel offers a unique outdoor living experience with a half living room outdoor theme that gives you a feel of sleeping in the jungle. Some guests complained about the worn-out furniture and the lack of maintenance, but the vast majority praised the resort's beauty and its lovingly maintained facilities. The location on the beach offers great views and the large infinity pool is a real highlight. Overall, Koh Yao Yai Village provides excellent general facilities and good rooms with some stunning options.

However, there were comments about limited sunbeds and some guests reserving all of them for themselves. Despite some negative feedback, overall, guests found their stay to be comfortable and enjoyable.

Cleanliness
Koh Yao Yai Village is a beautiful resort with lush tropical gardens and well-maintained grounds. Guests enjoyed their stay in the clean and lovely, albeit sometimes simple, accommodations including spacious and nicely maintained villas. The two pools were amazing and regularly cleaned and the beach was always tidied up by the attentive staff. While some guests experienced cleanliness issues such as dead insects and dirt in their rooms, other reviewers found the hotel to be very clean and well-kept. Some guests also mentioned stomach issues and unpleasant smells. Overall, the cleanliness of the hotel could be improved in some areas, but it did not detract from the beauty of the resort or the positive experiences of the majority of guests.

Staff
The staff at Koh Yao Yai Village is exceptional with many guests praising their kindness, helpfulness and friendliness. PK at the reception stands out as an exceptional employee. However, some guests have noted that a few staff members had limited English proficiency and there were occasional service issues, such as lengthy wait times at the bar and for food and drinks due to understaffing. Around the resort, guests can witness lots of animals. The staff are all friendly and lovely. However, some guests mention that the maintenance carried out during the day could be a bit much and some complain that there are not enough quality sunbed mattresses or towels. Koh Yao Yai Village is a tropical paradise located on a quiet and exclusive beach. Many guests love the beach, as it has hammocks and beds to relax in and kayaks to explore the nearby waters. The location is surrounded by green jungle, which gives guests the feeling of being away from it all. The beach is kept clean and towels are provided. However, some guests found the beach a bit dirty, not attractive and not suitable for swimming due to the tides. Overall, Koh Yao Yai Village is a great option for families looking for a relaxing vacation with plenty of activities for their children.
