Location

Galini Palace hotel boasts a prime location near the beach, in the beautiful Kolymvari area. Surrounded by fields and separated from the beach by a small road, the hotel offers a quiet spot away from busy nightlife. Guests can enjoy easy access to all nearby villages and visit different beaches every day. The location is fantastic, convenient to the beach and within walking distance of the main road. The hotel is close to a supermarket, a bus stop and a scooter rental. While the neighboring guests might be swimming or walking in front of the rooms, the hotel also offers rooms overlooking the pool/beach. Some guests do recommend having a car to explore the nearby areas, but the hotel location is perfect to go to Chania, Kissamos and the best beaches of Crete. Overall, the location of Galini Palace is deemed perfect with many positive reviews describing it as a super location, fantastic, prime and perfect.

Breakfast

Guests who enjoyed breakfast at Galini Palace praised the broad and tasty buffet selection with fresh salads, fruit, bread and local pastries such as honey. The quality and variety of the food was also highly praised with both Greek and European options available. There was plenty for everyone with a salad bar and loads of fresh vegetables. However, some guests were disappointed with the lack of real fruit juice and table cleanliness and a few found the breakfast options basic or unhealthy. Overall, the food was described as delicious and amazing with some guests noting that they never had the same meal twice. Additionally, the hotel was praised for its cleanliness and friendly staff with many noting the expertise of the captain and chef.

Dinner

Galini Palace hotel offers an enjoyable culinary experience to its guests. With a diverse and tasty buffet, including absolutely delicious Greek and Mediterranean dishes, one can enjoy local food and diversified meals. Guests have found the food to be really good, including the typical Greek dishes, depending on one's taste and palate. The buffet consists of local and fresh products, which results in truly delectable meals. However, some guests felt the restaurant tried too hard to be adventurous with their dishes, leading to some misses. The breakfast and dinner are copious and offer a great variety of choice, including typical products and a show cooking station. Although some guests have complained about the restaurant closing too early, the bar's opening hours not meeting their expectations and the poor service experienced by some, the majority of guests enjoyed their tasty drinks at the bar and the quality of the food cooked by the hardworking and friendly chef and the captain.

Rooms

Galini Palace boasts beautiful, spacious and modern rooms equipped with comfortable beds, large TVs and air conditioning. The rooms are spotless, tidy and renovated and some offer private pools or balconies overlooking the pool or the beach. The stylish rooms provide an amazing pool view and the seafront suite is spacious and quiet. The hotel is ideal for a relaxing stay; however, some guests have reported minor issues, such as a strong sewer smell in one room, a cramped bathroom or thin walls connecting to adjacent rooms. Nevertheless, the majority of guests have left praising reviews of their clean and well-equipped rooms with comfortable beds and fantastic views.

Beds

Galini Palace seems to be impressing its guests with its cozy and comfortable beds. The double beds are described as big and comfortable with large and comfortable mattresses. Guests have reported that they had a very comfortable sleep during their stay. Though, one negative review says that it was impossible to sleep, it is outweighed by the majority of positive comments on the comfortable beds. The hotel also appears to serve quality food with a few reviews praising the food. Some reviews are in non-English languages and seem to mention upgraded beds. Overall, guests are happy with the quality of the beds at Galini Palace.

Cleanliness

The Galini Palace hotel boasts fresh, up-to-date and beautifully clean facilities. Guests marveled at the spotless gym and very clean pool and praised the staff for keeping the hotel clean and tidy throughout the day. Many reviews raved about the very clean rooms and grounds, as well as the well-kept facilities. While there were some issues with cleaning in a few isolated cases, overall guests were impressed with the cleanliness and professionalism of the hotel. Plus with new and clean facilities, Galini Palace offers a great option for affordable rest and relaxation.

Staff

Galini Palace gets top marks for its amazing staff, who are courteous, friendly, polite, kind, attentive, competent, helpful, professional and welcoming. The reception and restaurant staff stand out for their exceptional service and guests appreciate the amiable receptionists and helpful ladies. The hotel has great management and the employees are always smiling and kind. Although there were some issues with language barriers and inexperienced staff members, overall, guests had positive experiences with the staff. Tony in the bar is particularly friendly and guests appreciate Artemis and the reservation/reception manager. The staff is described as clean and pleasant and the restaurant staff is friendly, although sometimes inexperienced. While some guests had negative experiences with unhelpful staff members, most found the employees to be friendly and attentive. Despite the hotel's less-than-stellar location, guests would still recommend Galini Palace for its fantastic staff.

Pool

Galini Palace boasts of an exceptional pool area with stunning views and pristine waters that are kept very clean. Besides the main pool, there are other options like private and children pools, indoor and outdoor ones and even a swim-up pool. The pool areas are well-maintained and guests rave about the comfortable sunbeds and the pool bar that serves drinks. The hotel is also conveniently located near the beach with some rooms overlooking the pool and the beach. However, there are some minor issues like uneven concrete and limited pool bar opening hours, but overall, the pool facilities are amazing.

Beach

Galini Palace is the perfect hotel for travelers looking to stay near the beach while vacationing in Crete. With a beach just a minute's walk from the hotel, guests can enjoy swimming in the crystal-clear, wave-free Cretan sea right in front of the hotel. The area also boasts the most beautiful sand beaches around, including the amazing Rapaniana beach just 350 meters from the hotel. While some guests found the beach stony or closed due to high winds, others described it as lovely and pleasant. The hotel's location is excellent for reaching other tourist hotspots, including Balos and Elafonisi. Keep in mind that beach services may come at an additional cost, but overall, Galini Palace is a great choice for those looking to stay close to the beach.

5 Star

Galini Palace is a hotel with a potential for luxury level and top-notch services, however, some guests felt that it is not yet up to par with a five-star rating. The hotel is new, clean and nicely decorated with side views of the mountains, sea and pool. The hotel staff is discreet and professional and the housekeeping services are exceptional. Although the food quality and selection are average for a hotel claiming five stars and the pool snack options are limited, the hotel has quality catering. The major downside is the lack of dessert options in an all-inclusive hotel, which was disappointing. Some guests felt that the hotel was not worth the money they paid and that the hotel lacked a five-star experience. However, Galini Palace is a good option for families with children who intend to relax and enjoy the pool. If the hotel improves the areas of concern, it has the potential to be truly amazing.

Outdoor Pool

The Galini Palace boasts an exceptional pool area with a beautiful design and lovely swim-up pool. Guests can relax on comfortable sun loungers by the pool. While some guests mentioned uneven concrete in the area and a dirty pool, overall the main pool is superb with gentle slopes and pleasant access to the water. The Californian pool is also incredible with good temperature water. The hotel is located on a hillside consisting of three big units - the main building, two wings with rooms and the pool area. It is an ideal location for travelers looking for a beautiful hotel with a magnificent pool.

Luxury

Galini Palace is a lovely hotel that offers potential for a luxurious stay. The lobby, restaurant and pool area are modern and elegant, while also being clean and stylish. Although some guests felt the hotel wasn't quite up to 5-star level, it still offers brand new facilities and beautiful designs. While the price could be lower, there is still value to be found here. This hotel is particularly great for families with children who want to relax by the pool. Overall, Galini Palace is a good 3-star experience that is comfortable and has many amenities, but may not quite live up to a 5-star rating.
