Very Good

Location

The Lighthouse View Motel enjoys an amazing location as confirmed by guests in their reviews. It's ideal for exploring Mackinaw and is in close proximity to town, where you can walk to shops, restaurants and attractions like the fort, the ferry and the lighthouse. The motel is right across the street from Fort Michillmakimak park which overlooks the stunning Mackinac Bridge and Lake Michigan. The location is perfect, away from the downtown bustle in a quiet area by the beach with beautiful water views. The motel offers fantastic views of the waterfront and the room was exceptionally clean and spacious. Guests can easily access the area's attractions with some guests mentioning that, from the motel, it's only a quick jaunt to the lighthouse, fort and Lake Michigan. The staff are friendly and the motel is family-owned. Guests appreciated the ease of check-in, good parking and could walk to the park, the town, the ferry and all shops. The location is simply awesome!

Breakfast

The Lighthouse View Motel is a fantastic place to stay in terms of location, service and amenities. However, one aspect that could improve is breakfast options. While some guests wished that they had been offered breakfast on the property, unfortunately, there is no breakfast served at this facility. Due to Covid restrictions, the hotel has not been able to provide breakfast, which has been disappointing for some guests. Some visitors believed that the hotel's price was steep considering that they did not receive breakfast. However, despite the lack of breakfast, most guests enjoyed their stay and would highly recommend this motel.

Most of the guests were satisfied with the cleanliness of the rooms which was obvious from the numerous comments acknowledging how clean the room was. The rooms are fairly spacious with a good amount of counter space in the bathroom. The beds are comfortable and the shower pressure is great with perfect temperature. While some rooms are outdated, many of them were nicely updated and some had mini-fridge and microwave. Unfortunately, some rooms were quite small, making it tight for others especially when it comes to parking. Lastly, the walls were a little on the thin side, so guests might hear others stomping up and down the stairs, but overall, quiet enough. Despite the minor inconveniences, Lighthouse View Motel offers a charming experience - a comfortable bed, clean room and an affordable price.
