Don Angel & SPA & Padel- Adults Recommended, located in the prime spot of Santa Susana, stands out for its exceptional location. Guests find the hotel's central position highly convenient, offering proximity to the beach, restaurants, clubs, supermarkets and a rail station—all within a short walk. Its picturesque boulevard setting provides beautiful views and a vibrant atmosphere. The hotel’s amenities, including free outdoor parking, pet-friendly policies and multiple swimming pools, particularly the rooftop pool, enhance its appeal.
The breakfast at Don Angel receives mixed reviews with guests appreciating the hearty and well-organized spread, especially the consistently high-quality pineapple. However, some guests found the food selection limited and noted the industrial feel of the buffet, particularly the pastries. The restrictive breakfast hours and the early start time often led to overcrowding, detracting from the overall experience.
Dinner experiences at the hotel also vary with many guests praising the very good and well-prepared dishes at the all-you-can-eat buffet for its excellent price-quality ratio. Despite these positives, some guests noted a lack of variety and repetitiveness, along with issues like poorly cooked items and slow service. The limited meal times and prompt removal of food were additional points of contention.
Rooms at Don Angel have garnered largely positive feedback, particularly for the spacious and comfortable layouts, impressive showers and spectacular views from private balconies. The newly renovated sections of the hotel are especially praised for their modernity, cleanliness and comfort. However, older sections require attention with some guests reporting outdated amenities, uncomfortable mattresses and cleanliness concerns.
Cleanliness, in general, was a polarizing topic with many guests noting excellent hygiene standards. Conversely, several noted significant lapses, pointing to dirty areas, hair in rooms and missing essentials like towels and toilet paper. Nevertheless, the hotel staff's attentiveness and friendliness often mitigated some of these concerns.
The friendly and attentive staff consistently receive high marks for their exceptional service, contributing significantly to the positive experiences of many guests. The pet-friendly policy further adds to the hotel's charm, making for a welcoming atmosphere for both guests and their pets.
The pool areas receive substantial praise, particularly the rooftop pool, which offers stunning views and a serene environment. The variety of pools available, including the large main pool and pools with jet features and hydromassage, are well maintained and add significantly to the hotel's relaxation appeal. However, a few guests mentioned it could get crowded and needed more shaded areas.
Parking is somewhat inconsistent with free outdoor parking available but often full. The private parking also fills up quickly, leading some guests to park further away or incur additional costs.
Bed quality generally trends positive with many guests finding the beds large and comfortable. However, there were some mentions of outdated mattresses and poor-quality bedding.
Overall, Don Angel & SPA & Padel- Adults Recommended provides a mostly positive experience in line with its 3-star rating. The superb location, modern amenities in renovated parts, friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere for pets make it a favored choice for many, though areas like food variety, cleanliness and older room sections would benefit from improvements.
