Location
Uga Jungle Beach is a paradise location in Sri Lanka's East coast, perfect for those seeking an exclusive and secluded beachfront experience with a real jungle feel. Guests can expect stunning white sandy beaches and a beautiful beach with almost no one else around, providing a real escape from civilization. The hotel is located far away from any populated areas and has no nearby infrastructure such as cafes, bars or shops, but for many guests, that only adds to the charm. The hotel offers individual chalets situated in the jungle, providing a truly relaxing and private experience with direct access to the beach from their cabins. The waves are not too large, making it perfect even for those who are not confident swimmers. Despite being isolated, guests can venture out for a 15-minute tuk-tuk ride to the nearest small shop if required. Uga Jungle Beach offers a nice secluded location for a very relaxing vacation.

Dinner
Uga Jungle Beach offers an unforgettable dining experience with amazing staff and delicious food. The lovely menu caters to a variety of options for every taste and guests rave about the quality of the cuisine. While the food might be expensive, it is well worth the cost with dishes ranging from mouth-watering seafood to flavorful meats. Diners have the option to enjoy a beachside dinner featuring a variety of delectable seafood dishes. Regardless of what is ordered, the presentation is as beautiful as the taste. From romantic dinners to casual meals, this hotel's restaurant is a must-try, serving up some of the tastiest food around. So why not indulge in a night of culinary luxury at Uga Jungle Beach?

Rooms
If you're looking for sustainable luxury accommodations, Uga Jungle Beach is the place for you! From the moment you enter through the beautiful wooden gate into a jungle paradise, you'll be impressed by the exquisitely crafted exposed beam chalets with huge beds and cosy beddings. The well-maintained rooms provide options for air conditioning and a fan and an additional rainfall shower to enjoy after outdoor activities. Big rooms with Jungle or beach/lagoon views are generally spacious, clean, comfortable, well-maintained and peaceful. Additionally, if you stay at the individual villas, you'll find them to be fantastic, generously spaced and well-equipped. Fresh towels and linen are provided and the bed is large and very comfortable. However, a few guests felt their rooms were lovely but perhaps a little tired with a musty smell and some felt they could do with a bit of TLC. The cabins are a little small, while the beachfront villas and bungalows are very spacious, beautifully done with open showers and offer a unique experience. Overall, most guests found the rooms to be beautiful, clean and large with some describing them as incredible, ultra-clean or top-notch, though some thought they were a little overpriced and the jungle chalets were a bit dark compared to the beach chalets.

Cleanliness
The Uga Jungle Beach hotel is well-maintained and clean with excellent housekeeping. The rooms are amazing and ultra-clean and the beach is very clean. Guests enjoyed the lovely accommodation by the beach, although some animals from the surrounding area got into the hotel sometimes and the staff couldn't remove them all. There were no mentions of uncleanliness except for a few negative reviews reporting cockroaches, mice and a slightly dirty pool and gym. Overall, the hotel is a great option for those looking for a clean and well-maintained beachfront property.

Staff
If you're looking for exceptional service during your stay in Sri Lanka, then look no further than Uga Jungle Beach. From the warm welcome given by Mr Dhammika and his team, to the friendly and attentive staff throughout the hotel, you'll feel well taken care of from the moment you arrive. The bar staff, including Faiz and Piumi, will make sure you always have a fantastic drink in hand, while Ponseka, who looks after the beach, will leave a lasting impression with his kindness and friendliness. Ms Gothami takes things up a notch by showing how to rock Sri Lankan style in a Sare and the bartenders Jagath, Mandawa and Dananjaya will always make sure you have everything you want. If you're looking for a guide, the hotel can get you in touch with Pasan, a passionate and knowledgeable naturist who will make your tours of the temples, mangroves and unique flora and fauna a lifetime experience. While some of the staff may be inexperienced or rushed at times, the majority are polite, professional, motivated and fantastic in their roles. Overall, Uga Jungle Beach has a very caring and polite staff that goes above and beyond to ensure you have a great time during your stay.
