Breakfast
The breakfast at Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort appears to be a hit-or-miss experience for guests. However, for the most part, guests seem impressed with the selection on offer with many describing it as excellent, outstanding and even one of the best meals they've ever had in a hotel. There are plenty of options to choose from, including vegan options and streaky bacon. While some reviewers mention queues for toast and hot food running out, others note that the food is replenished regularly. Unfortunately, there are a few complaints about the quality of the coffee and slow service from staff. Despite these minor issues, guests generally seem satisfied with the breakfast, which is described as good, very good and lovely.

Dinner
Guest reviews of the Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort's dinner options were mixed. Some guests found dinner to be great, but others were disappointed. The menu in both the restaurant and brasserie had limited options and some found the food to be no better than a local cafe. Guests were unsure about the value for money with some stating that dinner was expensive while others thought it was fair. The restaurant table service was slow and some found the service to be poor in general. The quality of food and presentation needs improvement, but others thought the food was amazing. Some had to wait a long time to be served with one guest stating that it took two hours for their food to arrive. The restaurant itself was dated with dirty curtains and the brasserie felt uninviting. Breakfast options in the brasserie were also disappointing. Overall, guests had mixed experiences at the hotel's dinner options and some would not return.

Rooms
The Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort offers a range of rooms, some lovely and spacious with comfortable beds, clean bathrooms and good size. However, some guests have experienced rooms in need of refurbishment with old furniture, outdated decor and signs of wear and tear. Walls can be thin and noise from above can be an issue. Some guests have found their rooms to be quite dirty with dusty surfaces, cobwebs and mould and unclean bathrooms with bad odours, stains and broken hooks. Lighting and ventilation could also be better. Nevertheless, the newer rooms are nicely decorated and clean with loads of storage, tea and coffee facilities and some with air conditioning and French doors leading to a small terrace. The hotel building itself is interesting and historic with stunning grounds, but it can be a bit of a maze with a lack of direction signs. Overall, the rooms vary in quality and guests may want to do some research before booking.

Beds
Guests at Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort have had mixed experiences with the beds in their rooms. While some report lovely, comfortable beds with crisp sheets and large pillows, others found the beds to be uncomfortable with some even comparing them to slabs of cement. Additionally, some guests found the rooms to be too hot or too noisy, making it difficult to get a good night's rest. Despite these mixed reviews, many guests enjoyed a comfortable and restful sleep in their cozy, homely rooms.

Cleanliness
Guests had mixed opinions about the cleanliness of Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort. Some rooms were found to be quite dirty with mold, cobwebs, stained toilets and dusty furniture. Some guests also found that attention to detail was lacking with hair in the bath plug or leftover food from previous guests. However, other guests praised the hotel for being spotlessly clean with lovely staff. The public areas, such as lounges and corridors, were generally reported as clean and attractive. Some guests noted that certain areas required TLC, such as the sauna, changing rooms or pool area. Overall, the reviews suggest that while the hotel can sometimes fall short of guests' cleanliness expectations, it is generally clean and tidy with helpful staff.

Staff
The staff of Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort have received high praise from guests with many describing them as welcoming, polite and friendly. Even in the face of verbal abuse, the staff remained courteous and positive. Kerri in the breakfast room and duty manager Jane were noted for going above and beyond. However, some reviews did mention a lack of staffing in certain areas and the need for training for some younger staff members. Despite this, guests consistently described the staff as helpful, attentive and willing to go out of their way to assist guests. In general, guests appreciated the friendly and accommodating nature of the staff, making their stay all the more enjoyable.

Spa
The Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort is a great option for those looking for leisure spa resorts near Norwich. The spa facilities were overall nice with a good-sized pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. However, some guests expressed disappointment with the lack of beds and chairs around the pool, as well as the temperature of the water. Some also had trouble booking spa treatments in advance. Despite this, many guests still enjoyed the relaxing treatments and friendly staff. The leisure facilities were generally well-maintained and the pool was a great bonus. Although some described the spa more like a run-down leisure centre, others found the pool facilities to be excellent. Overall, the spa was a nice addition to the hotel's amenities, but improvements could be made in terms of availability and comfort.

Pool
Guests of Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort have mixed reviews about the pool area. Some found the pool to be a good size, but too cold for their liking. Others enjoyed the heated pool and facilities of the basement spa. However, the pool area could use some improvement in terms of cleanliness and the number of available loungers. Weekends tend to be busy, so guests are advised to visit the pool after 5 or 6 PM. Despite some criticisms, many guests found the pool to be a great bonus and enjoyed using it during their stay.

Family
Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort is a great place for a family getaway. Our deluxe family room was perfect for us and our kids. The hotel is also pet-friendly, which was ideal since we brought our dogs with us. The pool and spa were nice and the beds were comfortable. Unfortunately, there were a lot of other guests who let their kids run around like it was a playground, which was very disappointing for us and other guests who wanted to relax. However, the hotel is still a good location for meeting up with family and there is plenty to do on site with the golf course, gym and swimming pool. If you're looking for a perfect break away without the kids, this is also a great option. Overall, it's a good place to enjoy a relaxing break with your family, although be aware there may be a lot of children during school holidays like half term.

Golf
Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort is a stunning property located on the outskirts of Norwich city. It offers excellent golf facilities on-site with a well-maintained course that provides a great golfing experience. Although some guests were disappointed about bunkers being closed and not being able to walk their dogs around the course, they enjoyed their time at the resort. Some guests travelled here in a large group specifically for golf and were pleased with the golf club. Others discovered the junior academy of Chelsea F.C. while staying here and support the team. The hotel rooms are lovely and the spa facilities are great. However, some guests thought that the property had more of a golf course, conference centre vibe than they had expected. The hotel serves nice meals and the scenery is picturesque. Overall, Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort is an excellent choice for guests who want to indulge in golf and relaxation.

Accessible
The Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort offers reasonably priced accommodation with good-sized rooms and convenient access to Norwich. While the facilities were great, some guests noted difficulties with the labyrinth-like layout of the hotel, particularly with the elevators. Additionally, while it was promised that some rooms would have easy outside access, some guests noted discomfort with their stay, particularly when it came to the accessibility of the pool - accessible only by a hoist that proved daunting for some. However, there were positive notes, such as the availability of room service and the presence of a walk-in shower for guests with disabilities. One downside was a lack of charging points, which may pose a problem for some.

Indoor Pool
The indoor pool at Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort is definitely worth a visit for those looking to make use of the leisure facilities. While some guests noted that the pool area was quite cold, it was praised for its size and lack of overcrowding. The changing rooms also had showers available for post-swim use. In addition to the pool, there is a basement spa and gym on site, though some guests found that the spa felt more like a run-down leisure center. Overall, the facilities - including the pool - were highly rated by guests.
