Marillia Village is situated in a beautiful and tranquil location of the island, providing guests with a sense of pastoralism. The hotel is well-maintained and has a lovely garden. It is only a short two-minute walk to the largest black sand beach on the island with all the amenities conveniently nearby, making it an ideal location. The hotel is within walking distance to Ancient Thira and there is a bus stop outside the hotel with links to Perissa, Fira and other places of interest. The steps leading to the apartments are draped in pink flowers, surrounded by greenery and offer guests a sense of seclusion. The location is ideal for those who wish to be close to the beach with plenty of restaurants and beach bars. The hotel's charm is enhanced by the few rooms and beautifully landscaped paths. Additionally, the location is an excellent starting point to explore other attractions such as Akrotiri, Pyrgos and Megalochori with lots of viewpoints to stop and enjoy the beautiful views. All in all, the Marillia Village is situated in a prime location and is perfect for guests looking for a peaceful vacation in Santorini close to the beach and restaurants.

The friendly staff is always there to help and go out of their way to make sure guests have a delightful breakfast experience. Though some guests complained that the breakfast could have been better with more fruit, cereal options or better quality coffee, overall, the breakfast receives high praise. Many guests noted the cakes were especially delicious and the breakfast was a highlight of their day. The hotel is located very close to the beach and its bars and restaurants. Although some rooms are near the road and may be a bit noisy in the wind, most rooms are generally quiet. The hotel offers plenty of privacy for its guests with spacious and beautiful accommodations. Despite a few reviews stating that some rooms were dusty, dingy and decorated slightly dated, most guests found their rooms clean, stylish and well-decorated. The hotel provides quality accommodations with comfortable beds, while service includes daily cleaning and immediate help with any questions or issues. Overall, Marillia Village is the ideal hotel to relax and unwind, featuring a homely vibe, a pool area with lovely grounds and a variety of accommodations to meet everyone's needs.

A few guests did experience some discomfort due to the air conditioning blowing cold air directly on the bed or in one case, opposite the bed. However, overall, guests found the bedding to be of good quality with some even going so far as to say it was the best they've experienced on Santorini. Guests who stayed in the honeymoon suite especially loved their accommodations. The only issue with the bedding seemed to be the occasional occurrence of double beds made from two single beds that could cause discomfort in the middle.

The hotel is well-equipped and beautifully designed with a wonderful homely vibe. The staff are attentive and always willing to help with cleaning and kitchen staff always smiling in the background. The hotel boasts well-maintained gardens and a fantastic shower. While daily room cleaning could be improved in some cases, the overall cleanliness and modernity of the facility is excellent. The hotel is perfect for families with its pool area, great breakfasts and friendly staff.

Staff

Marillia Village is a perfect hotel to relax and unwind in a quiet location with a beautiful property and lovely staff. The staff is incredibly kind, helpful and welcoming, making guests feel at home during their stay. From the reception to the cleaning and kitchen staff, everyone is always smiling and ready to help. Special mentions go to Suzana at reception for her exceptional advice and help, Katherine at the pool bar and breakfast area for her pleasant and helpful attitude and Christos & Victoria for being assets to the hotel. Additionally, guests appreciate the little touches such as receiving a local mix of tea as a gift at check-out. The personnel speak different languages and give useful information on restaurants, places to visit, on how to rent a quad or on ferries. All in all, the hotel's staff is amazing, making the stay at Marillia Village a memorable experience.

Families particularly appreciated the pool with children enjoying it as well. The pool area is calm and not too crowded, offering an inviting space to relax. The pool bar area is nice and cosy with delicious food and drinks. Some guests mentioned the option of a private plunge pool and towels are provided for convenience. The hotel is stylish, chic and immaculately clean. The pool closes earlier than expected, but this didn't detract from the overall experience. The staff is friendly, helpful and attentive with special mention given to Katerina and George for their excellent service. The location is quiet and peaceful with easy access to Oia and Fira by car. Marillia Village is the perfect place to unwind and offers a brilliant place to relax.

The beach itself was described as beautiful and with great facilities, including beach loungers for hire. Guests also appreciated the hotel's secluded vibe despite its proximity to the beach.
