The Sweet Retreat boasts an excellent location beside one of the most beautiful beaches in Bequia. With Lower Bay beach just in front of the hotel and Port Elizabeth only a short and lovely walk along the beach away, guests are able to enjoy the best of both worlds. The area is quiet and peaceful, allowing for a relaxing stay with breathtaking views of the bay. There are also many restaurants around, making it easy for guests to indulge in the local cuisine. Although the walk up to the property from the beach road is steep, guests find the location superb and the idyllic setting surrounded by tropical nature makes for an amazing view. For those looking to experience their dream Caribbean vacation, The Sweet Retreat's location and views fulfill this fantasy completely.

The Sweet Retreat is a wonderful hotel that offers a great breakfast experience. Guests can start their day every morning with a delicious, homemade and tasty breakfast that is complimentary. The owner personally attends to the guests and is very flexible in offering breakfast that suits their taste. The breakfast includes really tasty fruit salad and sandwich with omelette, accompanied by juice and coffee/tea. The baked cake, prepared daily by the owner, is simply scrumptious and filling. The reviews of the breakfast at The Sweet Retreat have been consistently positive with many guests saying that the cooked food is amazing and the five a day and cake are the best.
