Plus, the resort is just a short walk from downtown PV, where you can immerse yourself in culture and history by visiting the boardwalk, the church and other attractions. And if you don't feel like walking, you can always call an Uber or taxi, since the hotel's location is central and easily accessible. To top it off, guests raved about the views from the Presidential Suite, which offers sweeping vistas of the ocean. But it's not just the location that wows guests at this property - the resort itself is also stunning and offers a luxurious escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. While it's just a 20-minute drive from the Romantic Zone, the serene and peaceful vibe of the resort makes it feel like a world away. While the larger breakfast area can get a bit crowded, there's a smaller club buffet where you can grab a quick bite and avoid the crowds. The breakfast options are basic but good with a nice selection of fruit, waffles, sausages, eggs, meats, cheeses and more. Although it can get a bit repetitive if you're staying for a week, everything we tried was fresh and there was lots of assortment of different types of food. We especially loved the sushi, ceviche, omelettes, crepes and smoothies. The staff was friendly and while the larger buffet seemed to be closed often, the small club buffet was always available. In short, if you're looking for a beautiful breakfast buffet, Secrets Vallarta Bay Resort & SPA has got you covered.

Dinner

If you're looking for a resort that offers a wide range of dining options, Secrets Vallarta Bay Resort & Spa - Adults Only might just be what you're looking for. Guests love the food at Capers, the Italian restaurant, which makes amazing lasagne that rivals what you'd find in Florence. For Mahi Mahi lovers, Oceana Restaurant serves it perfectly prepared for lunch. And if you're in the mood for French cuisine, Bordeaux is a guest favorite. Salads and mains are all great, but guests with dietary restrictions may find their food choices too limited. Overall, the food is amazing, except for the Chef's Table, which guests found to be overwhelmingly unappetizing. Unfortunately, some restaurants like Oceania, the French restaurant and the Mexican restaurant didn't impress guests, while others served meals that weren't hot. However with several dining options, there's something for everyone. We recommend trying the Oceania, Italian and French restaurants and if you're feeling adventurous, go for the Oriental restaurant. Just be prepared for some ups and downs in service, like one guest's experience at the Mexican restaurant where they were refused water. Overall, the dinners are delicious, but prices may be a bit over the top.

There are lots of activities happening throughout the day, such as water volleyball, ping-pong, yoga and even fishing. The lounge chairs are usually available and staff is happy to assist you in case of non-availability. The pools are well-maintained and lovely to look at. The only downside is that getting a chair can sometimes be an issue, but that's not something to be too worried about. The pool area has good service from the staff and they are always ready to help. Juan is especially worth mentioning for his excellent service. However, smoking in the pool area without a designated area is terrible and the staff tends to prefer one type of guest over others. The cleanliness of the pools could be better and more food options around the pool area would be much appreciated. One more thing to note is that the pool does close at 8 pm, so plan your day accordingly. Overall, Secrets Vallarta Bay Resort & SPA offers a great pool experience and it's worth considering for an adults-only relaxing getaway.

Guests rave about the beautiful resort and friendly staff, making it a wonderful place to spend a special occasion. The property itself is great, offering scenic and comfortable stays with top notch facilities and service provided by the staff. A first time trip to Mexico was made unforgettable by choosing one of the best resorts in the country, where the food and drinks were great and the views were amazing. Meeting really cool and friendly people only added to the amazing experience. Unfortunately, one guest experienced food poisoning from a seafood restaurant, but the location and overall facilities of Secrets Vallarta Bay are good. Overall, it was one of the best experiences for many of the guests.
