Very Good
Location
The Roseate Reading is a lovely hotel located in the heart of Reading, making it extremely well-located and close to everything, including the centre of town, restaurants, shops and the train station. Guests appreciated the peacefulness at night, the helpful reception staff and the spacious rooms. Additionally, some rooms have beautiful views of the canal, park or Abbey ruins. This luxury hotel is perfect for those who want to explore Reading on foot as it is within walking distance to everything. The location is also ideal for those attending events or celebrations in the town. Overall, The Roseate Reading offers a great location and comfortable rooms.

Breakfast
The Roseate Reading boasts an excellent breakfast experience according to guests. The buffet provides a great selection of fresh fruits and pastries and the full English breakfast cooked to order is of excellent, hot and good quality with plenty of it served. There are several options available for breakfast, but some guests found the menu lacking in variety. One guest found the breakfast to be poor with fake cornflakes, warm milk and raw toast. Service at the restaurant for breakfast can be slow. However, the quaint little shaded courtyard outside the restaurant makes for a perfect romantic or relaxed breakfast spot. Overall, guests had mixed experiences with the breakfast with some describing it as amazing or superb, while others found the quality of the breakfast to be poor.

Dinner
The Roseate Reading definitely does not disappoint when it comes to their restaurant and bar offerings. Guests have raved about the delicious food and many agree that the restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. Some even go as far as describing their evening meal in the restaurant as amazing! The bar and restaurant is definitely a highlight of the hotel and guests have had nothing but positive experiences when it comes to the food. However, there have been a few negative comments about the dinner options with one guest describing the comida mala. Overall, it's clear that the food at The Roseate Reading is of high quality and definitely worth trying during your stay.

Rooms
The Roseate Reading boasts spacious, clean and comfortable rooms that are beautifully designed and decorated with charming character and modern touches. The luxury rooms, including the expansive king and queen suites, offer huge bathrooms and well-equipped kitchens. Although some guests noted issues with maintenance or lack of air conditioning, others praised the comfortable beds and good facilities. Some rooms were located in a separate house block across the courtyard, while others were in the main building with some guests preferring the attractive old part of the building over the modern studios in the new wing. Despite the variety in room types and locations, most guests were happy with the quality and cleanliness of the rooms, providing ample space and a lovely ambience for a luxurious stay.

Beds
Guests rave about the beds at The Roseate Reading with many describing them as extremely comfortable and spacious. Despite the odd hard bed here and there, the majority of guests had no qualms about the quality of their slumber. One guest even described the room as 'kuschelig warm', a testament to the overall comfort of the space. Bed linens were also highly praised with guests commenting on their quality and attention to detail.

Cleanliness
The Roseate Reading hotel won't disappoint those who value cleanliness. The standard of cleaning in the rooms and bathrooms is immaculate with some reviewers noting that they were spotless, clean and beautifully appointed. However, a few guests reported small maintenance issues, such as dirty walls and spider webs and some felt that certain areas needed better maintenance. Nonetheless, the clean and lovely decor, comfortable rooms and helpful, professional and friendly staff create a great experience. Guests can also enjoy the lovely bar and restaurant, but some reviews noted issues with noise and sewage smells in the bathrooms. Overall, the hotel is well recommended for its cleanness with several guests describing it as "really clean and sleek," "very clean and luxurious," "cleaner," "lime scaled shower heads," and "välstädat."

Staff
The staff at The Roseate Reading are simply wonderful with many guests commenting on their helpfulness and friendliness. From the reception and event team to the restaurant and bar staff, everyone is professional and welcoming with some guests even highlighting specific staff members who went above and beyond for them. Almost all guests had positive experiences with the staff with some even saying they were "just lovely" or "exceptional." However, a small number of guests did have negative experiences with some saying that staff looked miserable or were rude and unwelcoming and others commenting on slow service during meals. Despite these few negative reviews, the overwhelming majority of guests had positive experiences with the staff and many said that they were a highlight of their stay at this lovely hotel.

Spa
The Roseate Reading's spa has received praise from guests who enjoyed great massages and excellent treatments. Despite some guests noticing that their room smelled like the wellnessbereich, the spa facilities themselves were loved. However, some guests mentioned that they found no information in their room about the facilities, specifically the pool and spa. It is worth noting that some guests were not aware that the spa facilities are located outside of the main building. On the flip side, there were guests who didn't use the spa or see any information about it during their stay and some others who were disappointed by the unavailability of certain spa amenities such as the sauna and steam room.

Parking
The Roseate Reading is a stunning hotel located in the heart of the city center, but unfortunately, parking can be a challenge. The car park is rather small and very limited, which means finding a space is like playing a game of chance. Guests have complained about the lack of parking, which can be a nightmare to find and even worse when you need to sort parking on arrival. Some have suggested that the hotel should provide free parking, especially since the price of parking is silly at £20 a night. The car park is also quite cramped, which can result in scratches to guests' cars, which is not ideal. Even though Martin, the parking attendant, does his best to guide guests to their parking spots, the task can be tricky and sometimes inaccessible for guests with pushchairs or mobility issues. Finally, the hotel staff need to improve communication with guests about the parking situation, as some customers felt that they were not informed about the £20 parking fee. Overall, while the Roseate Reading is a charming hotel, it's best to travel light and be prepared for some parking challenges.

5 Star

Guests raved about the exceptional facilities and luxurious accommodations, which exceeded all expectations. The staff received high praise for their excellent service and many said they can't wait to return. Though one guest felt that the hotel fell a little short of their 5-star expectations, the overwhelming majority agrees that this is a fantastic destination that earns its place among the very best hotels in Reading.

Luxury
The Roseate Reading is a stunning luxury hotel in the heart of Reading that promises a memorable stay. Guests rave about comfortable, spacious rooms with luxury bathrooms and plush furnishings. The hotel is truly glamorous and the attention to detail is superb. Offering first-class service, the staff are exceptionally helpful and courteous. The king suite is a standout favourite for its true luxury and the hotel's overall environment is lush and decadent. However, a few guests mention that the hotel is trying to be a 5-star establishment but is currently offering 3-star facilities. Nonetheless, most guests absolutely adore the beautiful property and describe it as a true boutique, quality and stunning hotel. It's perfect for relaxing and soothing your nerves before a big occasion or just for a luxurious short break. Many guests absolutely love it and vow to return due to the luxurious ambience and overall great service.
