The hotel is located in a business area which some guests found a bit boring, but it is still close to the city centre and plenty of parking is available. The spa and wellness facilities are highly praised by guests. While some guests found the location a bit inconvenient for exploring Reykjavik, others found it to be comfortable and convenient with easy access to the city centre by car. Overall, the hotel has a great location with friendly staff and comfortable rooms.

Guests of Hotel Ísland – Spa & Wellness Hotel have mixed opinions on the breakfast. Most review it positively with many describing it as "delicious" or "very good". Guests appreciate the variety of options available with pastries, eggs and fresh fruit being popular choices. Some guests, however, feel that the breakfast could use more variety with some suggesting an omelet or pancake station. Others comment on the small size of the breakfast area with long queues during busy periods. Despite these criticisms, many guests give high praise to the attentive staff and overall enjoyable experience.

Guests at Hotel Ísland – Spa & Wellness Hotel had mixed opinions regarding the dinner options. Some felt that the menu choices were very limited, while others found the food to be good and highly recommendable. There were also those who were disappointed with the food, however, some guests praised the vegan/veg options such as the soup and burger. Despite these varying opinions, many guests enjoyed dining at the hotel restaurant which was said to have a superbra atmosphere and friendly staff. Some guests even chose to have dinner at the restaurant every night. The dining experience was said to be especially pleasant thanks to the amazing service of the restaurant staff. However, some guests found the restaurant to resemble a cafeteria during dinner time, which detracted from the overall ambiance.

Rooms
Hotel Ísland – Spa & Wellness Hotel offers a range of spacious and comfortable rooms that are clean and modern, according to guest reviews. Some rooms have a beautiful view and many have large wardrobes and comfy beds with good quality pillows. There are fridges in some rooms for guests' convenience. However, some guests were disappointed that the rooms did not match the online photos and needed updating. Some rooms had out of date furniture, smelly shower curtains and mould on the ceiling. Additionally, some guests found the decor too dark and old fashioned. Despite a few negative reviews, most guests felt that the rooms were of an excellent standard and offered ample space for families or groups of friends traveling together.

Beds
Guests of Hotel Ísland all agree on one thing: the beds are comfortable. Many guests note that their room was spacious and clean with some specifically praising the size of the room. Overall, guests can expect comfortable beds and a spacious room at Hotel Ísland.

Cleanliness
Guests have mixed reviews about the cleanliness of Hotel Ísland – Spa & Wellness Hotel. Some guests found the hotel to be very clean and beautifully decorated with clean and spacious rooms. The hotel as a whole was amazing and clean, according to some guests. The hotel also has a great spa and the staff was very friendly and helpful. However, some guests encountered some cleanliness issues during their stay such as dirty bathrooms, filthy showers and drinking glasses with smudges. Some guests also felt that the rooms were outdated and not well cleaned with some being disappointed despite being clean. It seems that the hotel management needs to pay more attention to cleanliness issues overall to maintain a consistent level of cleanliness throughout the hotel.

Staff
Hotel Ísland – Spa & Wellness Hotel's staff have left quite an impression on guests with many praising their top-notch service. Reviews mention that the staff were friendly, helpful, accommodating and attentive. Guests felt right at home due to the warm welcome they received from everyone, from the manager to the reception and restaurant staff. The personal touch provided by the receptionists, such as offering chocolates to children, was particularly appreciated. The overall customer service was excellent, although some guests had negative experiences with certain staff members in the bar or restaurant. Despite some occasional missteps, the staff generally went above and beyond expectations, sharing invaluable information about the hotel, city and local parking spots. The hotel's impressive facilities and food received praise and the staff was always on hand to cater to guests' needs. However, some guests were disappointed with some delay in service, but the staff provided speedy and efficient assistance as soon as it was feasible.

Spa
Hotel Ísland – Spa & Wellness Hotel offers a lovely spa experience, even though it can get quite crowded. The spa area is small but clean with a hot tub, plunge pool, sauna shower and gym equipment. There is a separate reception desk for the spa and it has its own opening hours. Some reviewers complained about age restrictions with the spa being limited to guests over the age of 16. However, others enjoyed a relaxing and tranquil atmosphere. The spa offers various types of massages to help unwind after an exciting day. Although some guests had to pay additional fees to use the spa, others received complimentary spa access with their room rate. Overall, the spa was a great addition to the hotel with clean facilities and lovely staff.

Gym
Guests at Hotel Ísland – Spa & Wellness Hotel enjoy using the well-equipped gym, which includes a hot tub, plunge pool and sauna shower. However, it is important to note that the hotel does not allow individuals under the age of 16 to use the gym. Some guests were disappointed to find out that access to the gym was not included in their room rate and there were complaints about limited operating hours, closing at 8pm and being closed on Sundays. Additionally, some guests felt that the hotel misrepresented their gym and spa offerings with unexpected fees and restrictions. Despite these drawbacks, the gym is praised as a nice facility for those who are able and willing to use it.

Family
The Hotel Ísland in Reykjavik offers a great option for families looking for a spacious family room. However, some guests were disappointed that access to the spa and gym was limited to guests over 16, despite it not being clearly stated. Breakfast is not automatically included in the room rate and some guests found this to be a drawback. Despite these issues, the hotel is a good choice for budget-conscious groups traveling together.

4 Star
Hotel Ísland – Spa & Wellness Hotel is a very good and superb upmarket hotel, ideal for a pleasant stay. The hotel offers a spa and wellness center that is open until late in the evening. The location is great and the rooms are really nice, but the price may be too high for the received services. Some guests complained about the rude reception and breakfast staff, lack of temperature adjustment in the rooms and the quality of some rooms that have seen better days. Despite these complaints, the hotel is still considered a correct four-star hotel by most guests. If you're looking for a clean hotel with good facilities in Reykjavik, Hotel Ísland – Spa & Wellness Hotel is a good place to stay.

Accessible
Reviews for Hotel Ísland – Spa & Wellness Hotel regarding its accessibility to guests with disabilities are mixed. While the location is good and the bus to the city centre stops outside the hotel, guests have mentioned difficulties accessing the spa from their rooms. The hotel also seems to cater more towards busloads of tourists and may be a little far out of town for those exploring without a car. Parking is easy, but some guests have commented on the shower facilities needing improvement. One guest also mentioned not being able to adjust the room temperature which was disappointing considering the price of their stay.
