Guests at Puerto Nuevo Baja Hotel & Villas have mixed reviews regarding the rooms. Some guests found the rooms to be outdated, old and in need of remodeling with uncomfortable beds, cracked walls and small sizes. The absence of air conditioning was a major issue for guests and those who were provided with fans found them inadequate. Additionally, some rooms had no TV, hangers in the closet, ironing board, iron or window screens to prevent bugs from coming in. Plumbing, including showers and sinks, also proved problematic for some guests. On the other hand, some guests appreciated the spacious villas that were a good size for families with kids, though others complained about the stairs to get to them. There were also positive comments about some rooms being very beautiful and comfortable. However, guests found fault with the layout of some rooms and the absence of heaters in winter. The property, as a whole, needs a lot of maintenance and several amenities need repairs, including the bathroom, electrical outlets and doors. Despite the drawbacks, guests appreciated the villas' proximity to the ocean and the family-friendly atmosphere of the hotel.
