However, the setting of the hotel is lovely with outstanding views of the beautiful surroundings. The hotel is ideally located within walking distance of St Peters Port and is a great central location for exploring Guernsey. Despite being situated on a hill, the location of the hotel is quiet and convenient to the town center. Guests can explore Guernsey by bus from this location and there is outside seating areas to enjoy the stunning location. Although the courtesy bus facilities into town were too infrequent, the location was still great and the views were spectacular. The hotel is in a beautifully located position, close to the bus station with a nice view of Castle Cornet. Visitors should be prepared for the uphill walk or use transport to access the hotel. Overall, Best Western Hotel de Havelet offers a fantastic location and facilities that worked for its guests.

The little extra touches like chocolate mints and fruit are very welcome. There is also a lovely outside terrace with sea views. Overall, the breakfast is a small continental buffet with a fantastic hot menu, including healthy options like salmon and avocado. However, some guests noted that the breakfast service could have been better and that some chefs cooked better than others. Despite this, the breakfast was excellent with generous portions and good value for money.
