Looking for an affordable hotel that's still close to all the action in downtown San Antonio? Look no further than Candlewood Suites San Antonio Downtown, an IHG Hotel! Located just off the freeway, this hotel offers easy access to downtown without the hassle of downtown prices. And despite being away from downtown, guests will still enjoy a nice location and reasonable rates. Plus with the hotel's location right off the interstate, getting around is a breeze. While some guests noted that the surrounding area looked sketchy, overall the location was great and perfect for exploring the downtown San Antonio area.

Guests loved the comfort of the rooms, but mentioned they were outdated and needing some repair with an old worn vanity and mirror frame missing chunks. There was also an odor in one of the rooms and someone else's food in the icebox, but the rooms were mostly spotless. The beds were comfortable but some guests found the double beds too small.
