Grand Caribe Belize boasts a beautiful location on Ambergris key, just north of town with easy access to many restaurants and bars nearby. Despite being a little far from town and lacking a beach at the hotel location, the property is conveniently located and offers a secret beach just a 30-minute drive away by golf cart over a bumpy trail. The location is perfect for those seeking a quiet stay but still close to the fun if you want some excitement. With proximity to the coral rift, renting a golf cart and exploring the town is a must. The staff is friendly and accommodating and there are parking areas available for the golf buggies available for rent. Overall, the Grand Caribe Belize is a great location and convenience for an enjoyable stay.

Rooms

The Grand Caribe Belize offers spacious, well-appointed rooms with stunning beach views that make you feel right at home. Guests loved the modern equipment, beautiful artwork and comfortable furniture. The rooms are equipped with a full kitchen and large closet space, making them perfect for extended stays. Housekeepers even did laundry for some guests. The apartments are generously sized with enough rooms for everyday living and plenty of storage space. Some rooms come with balconies that offer unbeatable views. Boating excursions and free stand-up paddleboards are available and guests also loved the well-equipped and peaceful accommodations. Overall, the Grand Caribe Belize is a clean and comfortable place to stay, perfect for those looking to relax and enjoy the seaside.

Cleanliness

If you're looking for a clean and gorgeous retreat, Grand Caribe Belize is the perfect place for you. The rooms are not only spacious but also immaculately-clean, offering a lovely beach view. Even the small beach section has been miraculously cleaned up of sargassum. The property is beautiful and the facilities are well-maintained- the pools and hot tubs are scrubbed clean. The sand is nicely combed without any seaweed, which adds to the overall cleanliness of the resort. Safety is also of utmost importance here, so you'll never encounter any unsightly messes. The staff is friendly and offers incredible service to keep everything pristine throughout your stay. Even upon request, the apartment floors were promptly cleaned after being sandy. In conclusion, we are impressed with the overall cleanliness of Grand Caribe Belize- everything was excellent!

Staff

The staff at Grand Caribe Belize resort is amazing with guests raving about their friendliness, helpfulness and overall kindness. They go above and beyond to ensure guests have a great time, whether it's booking excursions or sourcing a golf cart. Special shoutouts were given to the concierge office staff, who went above and beyond for guests. Housekeeping staff were also praised for their lovely service. Although a few guests mentioned a rushed greeting or feeling ignored by pool/bar staff, the overwhelming majority of reviews were positive with some calling the customer service top-notch. The staff is a highlight of the resort and truly make guests feel welcomed and cared for.

Pool

Grand Caribe Belize boasts an impressive array of multiple, gorgeous pools, ranging from a main pool to multiple swim-up bars. With clean and well-maintained pool and hot tub areas, guests can enjoy themselves in beautiful surroundings. Relaxation by the pool is made all the more enjoyable with ample servers providing delicious snacks and fruity drinks. The resort even has its own pier for excursions. While some guests found it annoying that smoking was allowed poolside, overall the pool areas and their amenities were fantastic, making Grand Caribe Belize an excellent destination for those seeking the best pools around.

Beach

The beach at Grand Caribe Belize has received mixed reviews from guests with some highlighting the small section of beach that has been cleaned up from sargassum and a barrier net that prevents seaweed from washing up. Others have noted that the private beach is mostly a barrier wall and not suitable for swimming. Despite this, guests have enjoyed kayaking out to snorkel on the nearby reef and appreciated the location of the hotel near Secret Beach. However, some guests were disappointed by the amount of seaweed and the smell of the ocean and wished for a larger and softer sand beach area.

Family

If you're traveling with kids of any age, Grand Caribe Belize is a great spot to consider. There are plenty of options for families of all sizes, from spacious 3-bedroom apartments to cozy rooms for a family of four. Even complicated groups (like ours with teenagers, young kids (including one with autism), non-swimmers and adults) will find plenty to keep everyone happy. The resort offers kayaks and pool floaties for guests to use and there are splash pools for the little ones. Our concierge even booked a kid-friendly snorkel tour for us and helped us source a golf cart to explore the island. The pack n play provided in our room was a nice touch and having so much room was incredible. We were upgraded to a 2-bedroom suite, which was perfect for our family of six and having another bedroom was especially helpful. Even our 18-month-old had a great time exploring the many pools! While the lack of decaf coffee and the gym's water supply were minor annoyances, overall the accommodations were great for our large family. Whether you want to relax or have an active vacation with your kids, Grand Caribe Belize has something for everyone.

Grand Caribe Belize is a superb four-star hotel located a little bit far from town, requiring a taxi ride for around 20 USD one way. However, the hotel compensates for this with its good location and friendly staff. The apartments are generous in size and well-appointed with a kitchen that has a standard-sized fridge/freezer. The pool would benefit from more light, but overall, the hotel is excellent with ample storage for clothes and a nice bathroom with spacious shower and vanity. The only negative point was the onsite restaurant, Rain, which was expensive, loud and slow with not-so-good food. Some guests felt that the prices for food were high for Belize and there were some complaints about using USD instead of BZD. However, these were minor issues that were overshadowed by the fantastic facilities and services provided by the hotel.

Outdoor Pool

If you're looking to relax poolside without a crowd, Grand Caribe Belize is the perfect destination for you. With multiple nicely maintained pools and hot tubs on the property, you can choose which one fits your mood. The main pool is especially great, complete with a swim-up bar where you can enjoy fruity drinks and tasty snacks, all brought to you by attentive servers. You'll be surrounded by beautiful pools with clean and well-maintained water. While smoking is allowed poolside, this may not be to everyone's liking. All in all, Grand Caribe Belize has some of the best pools around that will make your stay as comfortable and luxurious as possible.
