But really, the shining star of our property is the location. Guests love being able to step out of their accommodations and be right on the beach and many comment on how close we are to everything - restaurants, shops and more. Whether you're looking for peace and solitude or a bustling vacation spot with plenty to do, Shalimar Cottages and Motel is the perfect choice.

Rooms

Shalimar Cottages And Motel is a charming resort-like hotel with a bohemian beach vibe setting situated in a great location. The hotel offers a range of accommodations, including large hotel rooms, small cottage rooms and motel efficiencies, all equipped with normal amenities like a mini kitchen, a full-sized refrigerator, a stove and an oven. Although some guests noted that the rooms were dated and needed updating, the beds were very comfortable, the decor was nice and the size of the room was ideal for two people. Some rooms had maintenance issues that should have been addressed prior to check-in. The bathrooms were generally small and could benefit from a total revamp. Guests noted that the rooms could have been cleaner, especially since some units were dusty and needed a deep cleaning. The housekeeping staff was friendly and kept the rooms clean. The pool and beach were great and the check-in process was easy and convenient thanks to the friendly staff.
