Initially built by some Cistercian monks in 1619, the monastery was not only a place of prayer and tranquility but also surrounded by fertile land and vines. In 1862, the monastery was purchased by a noble family of Incisa Counts and was turned into a private home, until, finally, it became the 5-star hotel it is today in 2002.
