Cambridge Beaches Resort and Spa was the very first cottage colony, as well as one of the oldest tourist resorts on the island of Bermuda. Very Good

Location

Cambridge Beaches Resort and Spa is located in a beautiful area with private beaches, offering peace and serenity to its guests. The location of the hotel is loved by many with amazing sea views and wonderful grounds. The proximity of the hotel to a stair leading to the beach adds to the overall great location. Although remotely located, guests still enjoyed the convenience of being close to naval dockyard with pubs and restaurants. The only downside was that the location is far from the airport, but it was still considered a wonderful location by many.

Breakfast

The breakfast at the Cambridge Beaches Resort and Spa has received a range of reviews from guests, but overall it seems to be a positive experience. Some guests have noted that the food was not as good as on a previous stay, or that certain items like berries were unavailable. However, there are plenty of positive comments about the breakfast menu with guests praising the Eggs Benedict, banana bread French toast and excellent breakfast dishes. The selection of food items is also noted to be good with a variety of choices for both breakfast and lunch. One guest particularly enjoyed that breakfast was included in the price of their room. The only complaint seems to be that the waiting staff sometimes had trouble understanding the concept of poached eggs and toast being served at the same time. Overall, guests were very happy with the food selection and service at breakfast.

Dinner

Cambridge Beaches Resort and Spa is a picturesque destination that boasts of a stunning beach and impeccable views. The restaurant on the beach was closed and room service was a bit pricey with limited choices. However, the food quality was exceptional, well-prepared and delightfully presented. Breezes served an excellent dinner meal, although the menu was limited. Lunch at Breezes was not the best, as some guests did not enjoy the fish chowder and shrimp salad. Shutters disappointed our group because the pizza and Caesar Salad were unavailable. The restaurant menus had a fair number of options, but our non-seafood loving guests wished for more variety. We highly recommend the Christmas Day Dinner. Despite the expensive dining, the dinner meals at Breezes were nothing short of spectacular.

Rooms

Cambridge Beaches Resort and Spa offers an amazing location for those looking for a relaxing getaway. While some guests found the location a little inconvenient, most were in awe of the stunning ocean view from their rooms. The resort offers spacious and comfortable rooms with some guests even describing their room as stunning. Although some rooms were in need of updating, the private cottages and pegem cottage with sun terrace impressed guests. The rainfall shower was a hit with guests and room service and housekeeping were consistently excellent. The only downside for some guests was the mildew smell in some rooms. Overall, guests were thrilled with the big beds and high-quality bedding, providing a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Cleanliness

The Cambridge Beaches Resort and Spa is a great place to stay with fantastic housekeeping staff that keep the rooms very clean and comfortable. Although there were mildew smells and a sometimes-lacking attention to details like sweeping under furniture, room service and daily housekeeping were consistently excellent. Some guests did experience missing towels and cloths, but staff were quick to respond to requests for these items. Unfortunately, a few visitors did encounter unwanted guests like cockroaches and spiders and some noted that the carpets could benefit from more thorough cleaning. Overall, however, the Cambridge Beaches Resort and Spa is a welcoming and clean accommodation option.

Staff

If you're looking for a resort with exceptional staff, Cambridge Beaches Resort and Spa should definitely be on your list. From housekeepers to concierge, guests consistently rave about the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. Most of the serving staff are energetic and helpful, although a few guests noted a couple of exceptions. Regardless, the staff's training, professionalism and courtesy are top-notch. Even the admin staff can be quite helpful when needed.

Guests have plenty of opportunities to interact with the staff, whether it's the accommodating staff in golf carts, the charming servers at breakfast, or the exceptional staff at the resort's restaurants. Speaking of restaurants, the breakfast waiting staff might have some trouble understanding the concept of serving eggs and toast at the same time, but that's a small hiccup in an otherwise great dining experience.

The resort's bellman and beach staff also get high marks for their friendliness and helpfulness. Guests appreciate the team's upbeat attitude and willingness to accommodate their needs. The concierge, in particular, is always knowledgeable and a great source of information and helpful tips.

Overall, Cambridge Beaches Resort and Spa's staff is a major asset to the resort. They go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. Cambridge Beaches Resort and Spa is a luxurious and picturesque resort that boasts an array of wonderful amenities such as heated pools, hot tubs and even an infinity pool. The designers of the pool layout have done an incredible job, as the pools are simply beautiful. The pool area and beach are fabulous, offering guests a choice of two nice beaches and the view and amenities are truly wonderful. Guests can choose from three lovely restaurants as well as access the spa for ultimate relaxation. However, due to Covid-19, several amenities had to be closed. But that didn't stop people from enjoying themselves, as kids particularly loved the infinity pool. The outdoor pool was too cold when we went during Easter and kids could only use the indoor pool after 6 pm when it was their dinner/bedtime, which meant on rainy days, there weren't many options for kids. Additionally, the pool bar was closed except for the weekend and guests had to wait almost 2 hours to get towels at the pool. Nonetheless, despite some minor issues, Cambridge Beaches Resort and Spa is definitely a must-visit destination for any avid traveler who loves a beautiful beach and a luxurious pool.

There is a stair close by for easy access to the beach and visitors are in awe of the choice of two nice beaches.
