Location

Knoll House is a charming hotel with a unique style and lots of lovely features. Its location is stunning with breath-taking views of the sea and access to great walks and coastlines. Guests loved the hotel's lovely grounds with fabulous views of Studland and the Isle of Wight. There are plenty of outdoor seating areas to relax and enjoy the glorious weather. The hotel is located close to the beach and some guests mentioned taking a 10-minute walk to the beach, a 20-minute walk to The Pig on the Beach for dinner, or a 2-hour walk passing Old Harry Rocks down to Swanage. Others took a taxi to the ferry, then took the ferry and walked into Sandbanks for dinner. The hotel also has good facilities like swimming pool, golf, tennis, etc., all in lovely surroundings. The hotel is only 3.5 miles outside of Swanage town centre with great restaurants, pubs, shops and beach. The sea view from some of the rooms is lovely and the location is perfect for walks in the sunshine. Knoll House is in a fantastic location and its gardens with a sea view are lovely, making it the perfect location for a relaxing stay.

Breakfast

The buffet style allows plenty of selection for guests to pick exactly what they want, from delicious English breakfast to mini pastries. The staff is also noted for being helpful and accommodating. Some guests did experience minor issues, such as coffee machines not working well or certain food options not being replenished quickly enough, but overall, the breakfast at Knoll House is top standard. In addition, many guests enjoyed fine dining for dinner as well with both breakfast and evening meals being of great quality.

Knoll House is the perfect family-friendly hotel, providing a great base to explore the area and meet up with family. The facilities for kids were great, including large family suites and a plenty to do for both adults and children. The outdoor swimming pool is decently sized and wasn't too crowded when we visited at the end of the summer. The hotel also provides comfortable single beds for children as a free extra. It's a wonderful place to stay with friends and family and especially pet-friendly. The hotel appeals to a wide demographic of families, offering relaxed family fun with so much for the kids to do and explore safely. Although one guest encountered a small portion of the child's meal with excessive salt, overall, our great family holiday was much enjoyed by all generations.

Outdoor Pool

Knoll House has a good outdoor pool and its swimming pool facilities are excellent. With its outdoor heated pool, guests can enjoy a lovely swim while taking in the beautiful location. The pool was said to be clean and well-maintained, providing guests with a wonderful experience. However, some guests felt that the hotel was a little shabby around the edges with broken bins and dryers in the changing rooms, a damp smell in one corridor and weeds around the pool area. In addition, the hotel appeared to be understaffed which led to delays in food service and replenishment and some guests found that their hot drinks never arrived. Despite these minor complaints, Knoll House is still a lovely spot and a great place to relax by the pool. Some guests suggested that the hotel could add more pool loungers for added comfort.

Indoor Pool
