Hotel for Honeymoon,
With a stunning beachfront location and unique historic location, this hotel is nothing short of ideal for the most romantic and unforgettable honeymoon getaway.

Haunted Hotel
Q Station might boast a beautiful location and wonderful views, but, as a former quarantine station, it has a very dark history. Built in 1832 to quarantine early immigrants afflicted by disease, the station was a place of horror for many and is said to be one of Australia’s most haunted places. Close to 600 inhabitants died there from scarlet fever, smallpox, typhoid, cholera or Spanish influenza. The area is popular among people hoping to witness paranormal activities and hear ghost stories as they wander through the former hospital, the morgue and the doctors and nurses' quarters, as there are ghost tours organised by the staff of Q Station themselves. The haunted part of the hotel where those tours take place, though, is in a separate location from the guest accommodation premises, so there is no need to worry if meeting a ghost isn't really part of your itinerary.

Q Station is undoubtedly the best place to stay in Sydney, where guests can enjoy a unique experience staying in a historical site, surrounded by wildlife and stunning nature.

Breakfast
Q Station's breakfast has received mixed reviews. Some guests described it as excellent, delicious, wonderful and lovely, praising the quality of the food and the complete spread of hot and cold dishes. Some even thought it was well worth the price. However, others found it overpriced, lacklustre, or even awful with certain items such as tinned fruit being subpar. Despite this, many appreciated the stunning views during breakfast and suggested having it at the boiler room. The breakfast staff was also noted to be slightly understaffed during rush periods, leading to some items running out quickly. Nonetheless, Q Station's breakfast has provided a good value overall, featuring fresh locally-sourced ingredients and a great selection.

Dinner
Guests have mixed reviews about the dining experience at Q Station. While some mention the restaurant being expensive and only open certain days, others rave about the delicious dinner they had at the Boilerhouse. Many enjoyed their meals at the Boiler Room, including lunch with grandchildren. The restaurant is described as either average or excellent with some dishes being good while others were disappointing. The breakfast is considered overpriced and some guests were unable to dine in the restaurant due to it being busy. Despite the service being slow at times and the food options limited, those who had an enjoyable experience at the Boilerhouse particularly recommend it.

Rooms
Q Station offers a range of accommodation options, from beautifully renovated heritage rooms to basic cottages. While some guests noted that the buildings were old and not soundproof, many praised the unique and historical feel of the rooms. Some rooms lacked ventilation and air conditioning, but others had comfortable beds and excellent water pressure. Guests appreciated amenities like slippers, bathrobes and blinds on the windows. While some felt the rooms were sub-standard for the price, others loved the spacious size and calming decor. Overall, the room quality at Q Station varied depending on the guest's expectations and preferences.

Beds
Q Station is a great hotel with comfortable beds that guests adore. The bedding is of high quality and the rooms are cozy and inviting. The ceiling fans provide good air circulation, while the fluffy pillows on the comfortable beds guarantee a peaceful sleep. Some guests prefer a bigger bed size, but they still slept soundly due to the great quality of the mattresses. The only downside is that some of the beds are small or composed of two smaller beds put together. However, if you're a light sleeper, ear plugs might be necessary as some guests mentioned the minimal noise levels. Overall, the beds at Q Station offer a comfortable and restful stay.

Cleanliness
Q Station is a well-maintained and clean hotel with beautiful, spacious rooms that offer stunning views of the harbor. Guests appreciate the provided seats on the verandah where they can watch wildlife while enjoying their stay. Though some guests have reported encountering insects in the rooms, the bathrooms are clean and seem brand new. For the most part, guests have reported that the hotel is very clean, but some guests have had cleaning issues, such as grotty bathroom edges, cobwebs on walls and ceilings and uncleared items from previous guests. Additionally, some guests have reported noise due to the hotel's old heritage structure and a lack of soundproofing and some have found the cleanliness of their rooms to be mediocre or sub-standard in relation to the price of the room. Despite these issues, some guests have loved their stay at Q Station and appreciate the provided cleaning services like clean cups daily.

Staff
Q Station is a beautiful location with mostly excellent staff. The staff is described as friendly, approachable, warm, helpful and passionate which can really embellish the experience. The breakfast is said to be excellent with very pleasant and efficient staff. However, some guests had issues with slow and unwelcoming reception staff, some staff not seeming bothered by suggestions and some being quite unfriendly or even outright hostile. The shuttle service to Manly is praised for having friendly drivers and the staff in general is described as being ready to oblige and attend to all transport requests. Wendy, who checked some guests in, is described as patient, accommodating and knowledgeable. The location is also praised as gorgeous. However, staff training and improvement in customer service is suggested as some guests felt underwhelmed by the service they received. Overall, guests seem to appreciate the helpfulness and friendliness of most staff members and the convenience of the shuttle service.

Family
Q Station may not be the best option for families on a budget, as it can be quite expensive. However, for those willing to spend a little extra, it's a great location for a family getaway. The hotel offers various activities for kids, including lunch at the Boiler Room and spacious cottages with multiple beds. Guests who traveled with their families had a great time and plan to return in the near future. Others enjoyed the quiet atmosphere during child-free nights, while some found it a bit too isolated during weekdays. Despite some negative reviews, Q Station seems to provide a great vacation spot for families with children.

Steeped in history, this hotel boasts incredible views and is surrounded by Australian flora and fauna - a true slice of paradise. The Boiler House restaurant is a highlight, offering delectable cuisine. While the facilities and services are generally very good, some guests note that the rooms were a little disappointing and hot without air conditioning. However, most guests rave about the peaceful surroundings and access to the National Park and Quarantine beach. Overall, Q Station is a superb destination for a few days away from it all, especially for families with children.

Accessible
Q Station is a convenient hotel for guests with disabilities. The Q shuttle is quick and easy to call, making it a great option for those who are unable to drive to and from their rooms. While the location may not suit all disabled persons, the on-demand shuttle service offered by the hotel is brilliant.
