Pinestead Reef Resort is a stunning location right on the water. Guests have raved about the amazing views of Grand Traverse Bay and the sugar sand beach that is clean, well-groomed and has plenty of lawn furniture. The resort is centrally located, making it easy to get in and out and close to many attractions, stores and restaurants. Guests loved the convenience of being able to walk out their back door to the beach and many highlighted it as being a great location for those attending conferences or events in Traverse City. With a private beach, beautiful views and a convenience that couldn't be beaten, Pinestead Reef Resort is a top choice for anyone visiting Traverse City.

Some guests reported that everything, from the bedding to the rooms and the property as a whole, was very clean and comfortable and the staff were kind. There were some suggestions for deep cleaning or updating, particularly in the hallways, carpets and furniture, but overall, most guests found the rooms clean and safe, even if there were some dust or hair in places. Even with some reports of dirty or unclean areas, many guests did give positive reviews about the cleanliness, such as that it was exceptional or Super Clean with a Terrific view and there were no complaints about the parking or pool being unclean.

Pinestead Reef Resort offers guests a great time at their heated and spacious pool with full locker rooms. The indoor pool is clean and includes an exercise room and sauna. Though the pool hours were reduced and some guests missed out, overall the pool was wonderful and a great use of pool space. Unfortunately, there were some negative experiences, such as the hot tub being closed due to COVID restrictions or the pool area smelling horrible. However, these experiences didn't deter from the enjoyable overall pool experience.

Pinestead Reef Resort is a fantastic option for a beachfront vacation. The location couldn't be better - right on the beach with incredible bay views. It's only a five-minute walk to downtown Traverse and it's well-positioned with a long private beach. The sugar sand beach is well-maintained, clean and well-groomed with plenty of lawn furniture. The beachfront is huge and all rooms face the beach with balconies overlooking the water. The beach and view are both lovely and amazing, making it an incredible value for beachfront accommodations. The atmosphere and location are wonderful and every room is just steps away from the beach and water. Additionally, the beach appeared to be well-maintained and clean. All in all, Pinestead Reef Resort is an excellent option for those looking for an unforgettable beach vacation.
