Sonnenalp is a dream destination in Vail for those who love great amenities and a perfect location. The hotel is located in the heart of Vail Village, right outside one of the shuttle stops that are free and take you between villages. The location is just right, a quick walk over to Lions Head and close to the village events, shops and restaurants. You can't beat the location being in central Vail and if you’re staying in Vail Village, this is the place to stay. The hotel location is prime and in the heart of Vail Village and the ambiance is perfect. Guests loved the views, spa and local shopping and the style of the resort is amazing. If you love Vail and live there part-time, Sonnenalp is the perfect place to experience everything the village has to offer.

Breakfast

Sonnenalp offers a variety of breakfast options including their outstanding Ludwig's breakfast restaurant. Guests highly recommend making a reservation for Ludwig's as the food and service are marvelous. However, be aware that Ludwig's may be closed for construction at times. While some guests found the breakfast restaurant to be pricey for what was offered, others found the breakfast to be beyond amazing and fantastic.
