Very Good
Location
Ohtel Wellington boasts an excellent, central location between the waterfront and downtown Wellington with easy access to Oriental Bay beach and within walking distance to restaurants, cafes and attractions such as Te Papa museum and Courtney Place. Guests love the convenience of the hotel's location, which is near great restaurants and shops but still in a peaceful and quiet location. The view from some rooms captures the waterfront and marina and the decor and restaurant add to the boutique feel of the hotel. The staff is friendly and accommodating and guests appreciate the unique style of the hotel's rooms. However, the carpark is a short walk away and some rooms are small and slightly out of the main city, but overall guests agree that the location of Ohtel Wellington is fantastic and perfect for a special weekend or a summery day in Wellington.

Breakfast
The breakfast at Ohtel Wellington seems to have received mixed reviews from guests. Some were delighted with the outstanding, lovely or good breakfast they had at the hotel with great coffee and cooked breakfast. Guests also enjoyed the dinky cafe nearby that served amazing breakfast. However, some guests found the breakfast a bit limited with few options on the menu or no selection of fruit in the granola. Breakfast times were also unsuitable for business travelers and the absence of a chef at the hotel meant guests had to walk 15 minutes away from the city center to get breakfast. The breakfast service only started at 7:30 am, which was too late for some guests with early meetings. Some guests also complained about the waiting time for breakfast, which exceeded half an hour and the burnt toast smell in the cafe. Despite these issues, guests who had free breakfast included in their room cost enjoyed it, while some preferred to try other cafes in town for breakfast instead of paying extra at the hotel.

Rooms
If you're looking for a comfortable and stylish stay in Wellington, Ohtel Wellington is the spot for you. With beautifully furnished and spacious rooms, some even embracing a 70s retro vibe, you'll feel right at home. The bathrooms are particularly phenomenal with some featuring luxurious bathtubs. The staff are welcoming and friendly, making your stay even better. Some rooms have an awesome view to the surroundings, while others lack windows or amenities. The design and layout of the rooms are good, but some reviews mentioned that a few rooms have maintenance or configuration issues. Despite this, most reviews agree that Ohtel Wellington offers a unique and comfortable experience with mid-century decor and a great location.

Guests rave about the super comfy beds and pillows, making for a great night's sleep after a day of exploring the city. The beautifully styled rooms, complete with quality mid-century decor, are designed for ultimate relaxation. One of the standout features is the lovely deep bath, perfect for unwinding. The beds are described as comfortable, roomy and super comfortable with some guests calling them the comfiest they've ever experienced. Even with a small minority expressing discomfort due to softness or worn mattresses, the overwhelming majority agree that the quality of the bed and linens is top-notch. The vibe of the hotel is also highly praised, making it an all-around excellent choice for travelers seeking a comfortable and stylish stay.

Cleanliness
Ohtel Wellington is a modern and stylish hotel located in a convenient area. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and equipped with great facilities. The staff is extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. Although some guests experienced late room cleaning or inconsistency with timing, the hotel is generally very clean and tidy. Some areas, such as the dusty coffee machine, bit dated decor and stained carpet, could improve. However, the bathroom is well-equipped and the bedding is amazing. Despite some minor flaws, most guests enjoyed their stay and found the hotel cosy and welcoming.
