Nestled in the heart of Kandy, Grand Serendib Hotel offers a pool experience that is both captivating and slightly mixed in terms of practical comforts. The infinity pool stands out as a remarkable feature, praised for its breathtaking views over the city and surrounding mountains. Guests frequently highlight the pool’s beauty, calling it a masterpiece and a true Instagram-worthy attraction. From the poolside, one can enjoy unique views of Kandy, which contribute to a relaxing atmosphere after a day of exploring.
While the scenic views from the pool are undeniably stunning, the pool's size is a common point of critique. Many guests note that the pool area feels cramped given its small size and limited number of sun loungers, often leading to a lack of privacy and comfort. Additionally, the water temperature has been described as rather cold, which detracts from the overall swimming experience, especially during the cooler months. Despite these challenges, the pool is recognized as a delightful spot for a refreshing dip and relaxation.
The pool’s proximity to the dining area may not be ideal for some, yet the convenience of having a rooftop bar and panoramic restaurant enhances the overall experience at the hotel, offering both magnificent views and a variety of culinary options.
