Located amidst a serene garden setting, the pool at Quinta da Bicuda offers a picturesque backdrop for guests to relax and unwind. While the pool area benefits from the tranquility of its proximity to nature, the facility's size often falls short of expectations, described as rather small and more of a reservoir than a spacious swimming area. This has led to some disappointment among guests, especially when the pool has been out of use or in need of repairs. However, those who have experienced it in its operational state appreciated the quiet ambiance and the unique feature of watching horses while enjoying a swim, highlighting the property's dual function as a riding school with little to no olfactory nuisances. Despite occasional cleanliness issues, when available, the pool provides a refreshing, albeit chilly, escape and an appealing view complementing the well-maintained gardens. Guests also noted the practicality of the pool's location, offering a peaceful environment separate from the cottages. Overall, the pool experience at Quinta da Bicuda varies, with its charming natural setting appreciated by many, even as size and operational hiccups affect its full potential.

The InterContinental Cascais-Estoril by IHG boasts a fantastic outdoor swimming pool area, perfect for relaxation. The fitness and spa facilities, including a heated interior pool, also receive high praise. Guests love the pool's stunning views and quiet atmosphere with no music to disturb their peaceful swim. While some guests note the pool is small, it still provides a great place to cool off on a warm day. However, there are limitations for children when using the indoor pool and occasionally, there is a lack of organization in the pool area with children's toys left in the adult pool. Some guests also mention a lack of available sun loungers at times. Despite these minor issues, the pool area receives mostly positive reviews and is a great addition to any vacation, especially for those wanting to combine a city break in Lisbon with some beach days.

Penha Longa Resort offers an amazing pool experience with a variety of pools including indoor, outdoor, heated and infinity pools. The pool area provides a lovely scenery and well-kept outdoor spaces. Families can take advantage of the amazing kids club near the pool, allowing parents to relax and enjoy the view. However, the pool staff could use improvement with some guests commenting on their cluelessness about the food and drink menu. Those with mobility issues may have trouble accessing the outdoor pools, which is a major complaint from some guests. Despite this, the pools themselves are beautiful and enjoyable with guests raving about the warmer waters of the heated pools. The infinity pool is a standout feature, providing a Portuguese Paradise experience. The indoor pool is mentioned frequently, but some find it too shallow. Overall, the outdoor spaces are well-maintained and the pool experience is great, except for some small issues with staff and accessibility.
