Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
MainStay Suites Northbrook Wheeling is recognized for its convenient location, which serves as a strong advantage for travelers. Situated near the airport and major highways, the hotel offers easy access to local attractions and business offices, making it a favorable choice for both leisure and business travelers. The area around the hotel is quiet and safe, allowing guests to enjoy a peaceful stay. This practical location is paired with reliable amenities, such as good WiFi and comfortable beds, which contribute to its appeal for both short and extended stays.
The rooms are generally appreciated for being spacious and well-equipped, providing comfort and convenience to visitors. The inclusion of a kitchen complete with dishes and a coffee maker is a positive feature frequently mentioned by guests. Despite minor complaints about occasional odors, the rooms receive praise for their overall coziness and size.
While the hotel's location and room features receive positive remarks, the cleanliness and management aspects present areas for improvement. Guests frequently express dissatisfaction with the property's maintenance, citing issues like stained furniture, dirty carpets, and a persistent cigarette odor throughout the hotel. Unmet cleanliness expectations in the rooms and common areas are noted, including unclean mattresses and unattended trash. Additionally, encounters with unhelpful staff further detract from the guest experience. Given these concerns, significant improvements in cleanliness, management, and customer service are necessary for MainStay Suites Northbrook Wheeling to elevate its overall guest satisfaction.
