The SureStay by Best Western Salt Lake City Downtown enjoys a positive reception for its exceptional location, praised for its central positioning that allows easy access to city highlights, the convention center, and local stadiums. Guests appreciate the proximity to the airport and major highways, as well as the hotel’s quiet and clean environment. The secure gated parking further enhances the sense of safety. Although some guests express unease at night, the location combined with reasonable pricing, friendly staff, and satisfying amenities such as breakfast and a pool contribute to favorable reviews.
The breakfast offered at the hotel generally receives positive feedback, with guests appreciating the varied and plentiful offerings. Many enjoy the generous breakfast spread including hash browns, sausages, and waffles, with families particularly noting the appeal for children. Despite some issues with availability and variety, the breakfast is seen as a valuable and worthwhile aspect of the stay.
Guest opinions on rooms are mixed. Many appreciate the soft and comfortable beds and the cleanliness maintained by housekeeping. However, some guests express concerns over overly soft mattresses, inconsistent cleanliness, and outdated interiors. Maintenance issues such as broken furniture and noise from ventilation systems further tarnish the perception of the rooms. The bathrooms, in particular, require updates to meet modern expectations.
Cleanliness reviews are varied, with some guests praising the spacious and well-kept accommodations and secure parking. However, there are significant concerns about worn and dirty carpets, stained amenities, and smoke odors. The bathrooms are frequently criticized for their outdated facilities and poor water pressure, necessitating proactive measures from the staff to address these issues.
The staff is mostly viewed positively, described as friendly, accommodating, and efficient, contributing significantly to guests' overall satisfaction. While there are occasional reports of less favorable interactions, the staff generally creates a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the hotel’s appeal.
Parking is another strong point for the hotel, with the secure gated entrance providing peace of mind for guests. Despite limited space sometimes leading to congestion, the convenience of parking directly at the door is appreciated.
In summary, while SureStay by Best Western Salt Lake City Downtown excels in location, staff service, and breakfast offerings, there are areas in need of improvement, particularly in room maintenance and overall cleanliness, to fully satisfy guest expectations.
