Hotel Restaurant Le Manguier is a charming establishment valued for its serene and easily accessible location. Nestled in a peaceful, green environment with shaded areas, it offers an ideal retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Its proximity to major routes makes it a convenient stop for travelers and the ample, secure parking—especially beneficial for motorcycle enthusiasts—adds to its appeal. The atmosphere is enhanced by friendly and welcoming staff, known for their kindness and attentiveness, making guests feel well-cared-for.
The hotel excels in its dining offerings, particularly dinner. Guests have praised the hearty and satisfying meals with a menu featuring notable Réunionnais selections such as samosas, accras and andouillette with homemade fries. The quality and generous portion sizes contribute significantly to the dining experience, cementing the restaurant as a highlight of the stay.
Breakfast, while positively received for its classic offerings like croissants and bread, has room for improvement. The setting is lovely and the breakfast is generous, though a more varied selection including savory options would enhance satisfaction. Some guests have suggested starting breakfast service earlier and improving the coffee quality.
Accommodation at Hotel Restaurant Le Manguier consists of charming chalets dispersed throughout a picturesque park. These rooms, often freshly painted or recently renovated, provide comfortable bedding and a tranquil environment that ensures a good night’s rest. The distinct setup of individual chalets, combined with the serenity of the park, is appreciated despite occasional mentions of outdated decor and minor maintenance issues.
Cleanliness generally meets guests' expectations with many highlighting spotless rooms. However, some areas, such as windows and showers, could benefit from more meticulous care. Even with these occasional misses, the overall cleanliness contributes to a comfortable stay.
While the beds are typically praised for comfort and quality, a recurring issue with a musty smell in the bedding has been noted. Addressing this could enhance the overall sleeping experience, ensuring it is as pleasant as other aspects of the stay.
In summary, Hotel Restaurant Le Manguier provides a serene, welcoming retreat with excellent dining and friendly service, making it a worthy choice for travelers seeking a peaceful and convenient stopover.
