In the heart of Chicago's vibrant downtown area, the Hyatt Place Chicago/Downtown - The Loop offers an indoor pool experience that guests have found to be a mixed bag. While some visitors have enjoyed the warmth and cleanliness of the heated pool, others have pointed out its surprisingly small size, which can become crowded, especially when children are about. The pool is situated on a semi-private floor, providing seclusion despite its compactness, and it reaches a depth of up to 5 feet. However, guests have frequently remarked on its limited operating hours, with closures as early as 8 PM on weekends, which may frustrate those looking to enjoy an evening swim. Challenges with the pool's temperature, occasional closures for maintenance, and the lack of on-deck amenities such as towels, have also been noted. Despite these setbacks, families often find the pool pleasant enough for children to enjoy, even though a lack of a hot tub and the occasional overcrowding may detract from the overall experience.
