The Sunday Hotel Bielefeld Johannisberg, situated in a picturesque location, leaves much to be desired according to guest reviews. Despite its beautiful surroundings, the hotel struggles to uphold the standards typically associated with a four-star rating. Many guests expressed disappointment, particularly highlighting the lack of cleanliness and maintenance throughout the hotel. The breakfast did not meet the expectations of a four-star establishment, and the overall value for money was questioned, especially given the steep nightly rates.
Guests noted that the hotel feels aged and out of touch with modern standards, suggesting that its current condition resembles a good youth hostel more than a four-star hotel. Another point of criticism was the hotel's operational aspect, with shortages in staff affecting the quality of service. Once renowned for hosting seminars, the hotel could not replicate its former glory. Overall, the experience and facilities were thought to fall into a lower star category, leaving guests underwhelmed and full of unmet expectations.
