While the breakfast was just OK and some guests found the basic bedrooms and dated rooms to be unacceptable for a four-star hotel, the hotel's service and friendly staff were highly praise-worthy. With a few areas of improvement needed, including fixing bathroom issues, leveling the service and upgrading the dated rooms, Hazlewood Castle & Spa still holds its own as a lovely place to stay with a delightful castle ambiance. Overall, the hotel provided a very enjoyable night with an exceptional experience that is definitely worth the money.

Though some visitors found the hotel passable with reasonable pricing for the standard provided, others were disappointed and felt that the hotel was definitely not a four-star establishment. Sweeteners, for instance, appeared to be missing. Despite this, the staff were praised for their service and the hotel came highly recommended.
