Excellent
Location
The Yarrow Hotel boasts a perfect central location, just a short stroll away from the beach and close to the seafront. Guests love the hotel's location in relation to the town with many attractions just a short walk away. However, some found it a little away from the main centre of Broadstairs and struggled with the steep, wet and slippery steps when entering or exiting the hotel from outside. Despite this, the hotel is conveniently located with bus stops just outside, giving guests the option to travel to Margate or Ramsgate. The location is set in quiet gardens, offering views over the college and is perfect for an easy walk into Broadstairs or to the coastal walk to nearby Ramsgate. Some guests found the location to be the best, while others loved the local beach and town. Overall, the hotel offers an excellent location that is only a short walk away from the high street, beach and plenty of free parking.

Breakfast
The breakfast at Yarrow Hotel receives high praise from guests. Many reviewers describe the breakfast as excellent, lovely and delicious with a good or great selection of fresh cooked options available. The breakfast is served buffet style and is plentiful with continental items included. Guests can also enjoy specials and additional options in the spacious and pleasant breakfast room. Some guests have breakfast served in their room for a small fee, which they highly recommend. A few guests complained of slow service at breakfast or poor quality coffee and toast. However, overall, the breakfast experience at Yarrow Hotel is fantastic and highly recommended.

Dinner
The Yarrow Hotel offers a set priced menu of £35 for a 3 course meal. While some guests found the portion sizes to be small and the pork belly fatty, others described the food as top notch and innovative. The attentive staff and reasonably priced Xmas menu also received praise. For those looking for a more decadent experience, the hotel also offers a seven course taster menu. Despite some negative reviews about the limited menu choices, waiting times and mediocre food, the consensus seems to be that dinner at the Yarrow Hotel is definitely worth trying for its delicious and innovative dishes. Some guests even recommend making sure to have dinner at the hotel, while others opted to sit in the bar before going out. Overall, while the reviews are variable, the food at Yarrow Hotel consistently receives praise for its quality and taste.

Rooms
The Yarrow Hotel offers a range of different types of rooms, from spacious and beautifully decorated deluxe rooms to wheelchair accessible rooms that were unfortunately too small for some guests. Overall, the rooms are clean, comfortable and presented to a good standard with many featuring modern facilities such as air conditioning and roll top baths. Some guests noted that the decor was a little tired with scuff marks, but others described the rooms as immaculate. The hotel also boasts lovely views over the garden and a period property charm. However, some guests experienced noise disturbance and inflexible policies. Overall, the Yarrow Hotel provides good value accommodation in an attractive building with comfortably furnished and clean rooms.

Beds
The Yarrow Hotel is a stunning and grand building, but what about the beds? Well, opinions are mixed. While some guests found the beds to be quite comfortable and cozy, others found them to be rather uncomfortable and even resulted in a sore back. Pillows seemed to be another issue with some guests finding them too soft or flat, while others just didn't care for them. Additionally, some guests felt that the beds were too narrow or the mattresses were too hard. However, keep in mind that everyone has different preferences when it comes to bedding. Overall, while some guests may experience issues with the beds, others may have a great night's sleep.

Cleanliness
Guests rave about the cleanliness of the Yarrow Hotel with many describing it as spotless and immaculate. The hotel is well maintained and guests appreciate the clean, stylish and spacious rooms. However, a few guests did note issues with older amenities such as dirty kettles and hairdryers or uncomfortable pillows. The hotel breakfast was considered average by some, but guests enjoyed the complimentary toiletries that smelt wonderful. Overall, the hotel is described as well presented, lovely and luxurious.

Staff
The Yarrow Hotel is known for its exceptional staff who go above and beyond to make your visit enjoyable. Guests rave about how friendly and helpful the staff are and how their customer service is top-notch. Some guests mention individual staff members by name, such as the wonderful spa ladies Sarah and Amy or the hardworking cleaning staff in the corridor. However, a few negative reviews mention that some staff members were not very helpful or accommodating. Overall, guests feel welcomed and impressed by the Yarrow's staff, who are professional, polite, courteous and attentive. Their dedication to providing excellent service is evident in every interaction.

Spa
The Yarrow Hotel offers luxurious spa facilities that are sure to provide guests with the relaxation they need. Some guests noted that booking was required to use the spa and unfortunately, some were unable to use it as it wasn't available. However, those who experienced the spa had only positive things to say. Facilities include treatments, a spa and hair salon. Guests were impressed with the appearance of the spa and the top-notch facilities available. The spa ladies (Sarah and Amy) were praised for providing a fantastic massage to some guests. The spa area is described as lovely, relaxing and fantastic. Although some guests noted that the showers were out of order and the hot tub wasn't as warm as expected, the sauna and steam room were great. Some guests also had the opportunity to exclusively use the spa for an hour and noted that pre-booking was required for private use of the sauna and jacuzzi. Overall, the Yarrow Hotel spa offers a fabulous experience sure to meet guests' needs.

Parking
One of the worries while traveling is finding a good parking spot, but luckily, Yarrow Hotel has excellent car parking facilities, according to guests' reviews. Many guests appreciated the ample free parking available on-site, which was described as plentiful, easy, good and great. The location of the hotel was also given high marks and the fact that free parking was available was an absolute bonus, especially considering the amount of double yellows around the area. Guests left their car reg with reception and parking was described as easy, handy and off-road. All in all, guests were pleased with the plentiful and superb parking options at Yarrow Hotel.

4 Star
The Yarrow Hotel is a charming hotel in the perfect location to access both the beach and restaurants, only a short 0.5 mile walk away. While it may be a training hotel, this adds to its appeal and is brilliant for guests. The public areas of the hotel are definitely 4/5 star with a lovely building and great ambiance. Although some guests felt that the bedrooms were more reminiscent of a Premier Inn, they were still comfortable and clean. Overall, the Yarrow Hotel is excellent value for money and a great choice for guests looking for a charming stay. Plus with a 9.8 rating on booking.com and 100% 5-star TripAdvisor reviews, it's clear that many guests agree.

Accessible
Some guests with disabilities faced accessibility issues at the Yarrow Hotel. One wheelchair accessible room was too small to move around and the bathroom was inadequate to carry out medical procedures. The sink was not standard, making it difficult to use. Unfortunately, there were no other rooms to move into. On the positive side, the hotel did have an accessible wet room. However, some guests struggled with entering and exiting the hotel as there were no ramps in place and the steps were steep, wet and slippery. It was challenging to hold open the heavy front door. While excellent sound insulation and air conditioning were provided, there was no room-tidy service for stays under six nights. Access to some rooms should be highlighted and more parking spaces for those with disabilities should be offered.
