Rio do Prado emerges as a serene retreat with a strong commitment to eco-friendly principles, highly praised for its tranquil location surrounded by nature. Its position close to Lisbon, coupled with the peaceful rural environment, makes it an excellent spot for relaxation and escape from modern life's routine. The beautiful landscapes and green areas offer a picturesque and idyllic setting, ideal for romantic getaways and family vacations.
Guests consistently commend the breakfast at Rio do Prado, highlighting its diverse, high-quality offerings and the pleasant greenhouse setting. Freshly baked bread, pastries, homemade granola and natural juices elevate the breakfast experience, making it a notable feature. The dinner experience, particularly at the Maria Batata restaurant, garners significant praise for its quality, creative dishes and the cozy atmosphere augmented by live music. Despite some complaints about high prices and portion sizes, most guests find the dining options delightful.
Rooms at Rio do Prado receive positive feedback for their spaciousness, comfort and unique eco-friendly design. Features like fireplaces, large bathtubs and private pools are particularly appreciated, blending luxury with a rustic touch. However, some maintenance issues, such as humidity, peeling paint and cleanliness concerns, have been noted, indicating areas for improvement.
The staff's exceptional hospitality stands out with many guests appreciating their friendliness, attentiveness and professional service. The welcoming atmosphere fostered by the staff contributes significantly to the overall positive experience at the hotel.
The hotel provides reliable wifi in certain areas but faces challenges with consistent connectivity, particularly in rooms. While the private pools are a valued amenity, the outdoor pool receives mixed reviews regarding its maintenance and water temperature.
Families find the hotel welcoming and well-suited for gatherings with friendly staff and extensive spaces for enjoyment. However, some concerns about large group gatherings and accommodations for elderly guests have been noted.
Overall, Rio do Prado offers a comfortable and harmonious retreat with strong eco-friendly values, delightful dining experiences and a warm ambiance created by its exceptional staff. Addressing some maintenance and connectivity issues could further enhance guest satisfaction.
