The Park Hotel Villamaria offers a beautiful and well-maintained pool area that many guests find to be a significant highlight of their stay. Notably large and stunning, this pool has received praise for its relaxing atmosphere and adequate facilities. Guests often mention that the pool is a lovely addition and a major attraction of the hotel.
However, while the pool itself is well-regarded, there are several operational aspects that could be improved. One recurring issue is the pool's opening hours with several guests noting it closes early, which can be inconvenient. Furthermore, the pool occasionally appears closed unexpectedly, frustrating those who anticipated its use based on hotel advertisements. Another point of concern is the additional fee required to use the pool, which some guests felt was not clearly communicated at the time of booking.
On the positive side, when available, the pool area is pleasant and can be a relaxing spot for guests, though a few noted areas needing better cleanliness and maintenance. The presence of a friendly staff member and a well-kept environment adds to the overall experience, making it a favored spot despite some of the mentioned drawbacks.

Hotel Cristoforo Colombo boasts a large, clean and well-maintained swimming pool that is particularly pleasant for relaxation, especially on hot days. Many guests appreciated the pool's cleanliness and the organized surroundings, noting it as one of the hotel's main advantages. The pool area, complete with a bar, adds to the delightful experience, providing a comfortable spot for guests to unwind.
However, some limitations detract from the overall experience. The pool has restricted hours, often closing as early as 6 or 7 p.m., which several guests found inconvenient. The mandatory use of swimming caps and some strict pool rules were also points of contention. Additionally, the pool can become quite crowded and noisy and there were occasional comments about the availability of sunbeds and cleanliness levels.
Despite these restrictions, the pool remains a favorite feature for many visitors, serving as a delightful escape for relaxation amidst the hustle and bustle of city life.
