The building where Locanda di Santantimo is housed today was initially built in the 17th century, on top of the remains of S. Antimo. An old convent was also perched there, but none of its remains are left today. The area around the accommodation is also rife with history and culture, as many historic buildings and sites are still around. The accommodation was renovated in order to be turned into a hotel, but its exterior appearance and medieval charm and character were maintained intact.
